I have been an LSU fan since 2006 when I came to school here from out of state. I think that 10 day stretch of this year’s CWS is the most fun I have had as an LSU fan.

There is nothing like watching the Tigers get on a heater in Omaha. Absolutely nothing compares.
Playoffs are fun, but you get 2 games with a week in between. CWS we got 8 games in 10 days. Its not even close.

I was just thinking about the Supers with Kentucky and how I would love to rewatch highlights of the entire postseason in order.
I believe we beat the other three best teams in college baseball twice each to win the title. I don't care what their record was that Tenn team was stacked with pitching.
It would be awesome if someone made a road to Omaha type of video about this LSU baseball team.

Oh and if anyone ever did make a video like that I would start it with the loss at USM to end the season prior. Jay Johnson looked like he was in disbelief, hurt, pissed, and like he was about to do something serious. You could tell how badly he wanted the team to make Omaha. He made it his mission to correct the flaws of the team. Totally fixed the pitching and got enough depth that even key injuries wouldn't deny this team. He also made sure to improve the fielding. I am so happy for the players, coaches, and fans.

To tell the whole story of this team, you really do have to go back to Jay's first year, as you said, but also Paul's last year (2021). Jay would likely have come here anyway, but some pieces were already in place (like Dylan Crews and Tre Morgan) that made it impossible for him to turn us down.
