This is a microcosm of the season.
For the past 2 weeks, we've been hitting lazy fly balls and nothing on the ground. Easy outs up and down the line up.
Today, and most of this weekend, we get a ton of loud contact on the ground and limited balls in the air. Wouldn't you know it that's actually the worst possible strategy while playing on carpet (no mistakes defensively) and lazy fly balls turn into extra base hits (40 mph wind, little league measurements).
We are incapable of doing the right thing at the right time. This luck HAS to turn at some point this year.

I know you been baseball fan for a long time as have I. I have never seen a LSU team unable to string a few hits together like this one since Smoke days. Hope this is a head thing and Jay can get it right. We aren’t hitting against teams that have weak pitching and making Vandy pitcher today looklike HOF

The only consistent scoring this team can do right now is off of the other teams mistakes. They just can’t create their own positive outcomes!!!

The freaking bats are still sleeping, that pitcher gave gave us those runs. Any marginally productive pitcher shuts our bats down. Only two hits today, I don't think we have any off this guy, f..king terrible; he is no hitting us!
