I would think this depends on how set Milam is at the next level because he's probably never going to be high pick projection due to his size, power, and bat.

If Jay is not willing to at least give a couple of guys a chance at first, what does that say about the guys on the bench? If all he recruited was one 1st baseman for this season, he isn’t as smart as we think he is. You have to have guys that can play other positions incase starters aren’t producing and or injuries. Yorke has been a huge disappointment at 1st. Jay crashed and burn with Yorke, it happens. Stop being hard-headed and give some other guys a chance.
