Think the player(Jalen Steele) was suspended before our game. All the stories for the suspension are from the 11th of February.

Oh drats, you have to go to england. haha.

Seriously though, that sucks. I am really excited about the Bama game. The game versus Tennessee could get really ugly. Both teams have had miserable stretches of ugly basketball. I'm hoping for a great game, but who knows.

Me too. MSU somehow forgets that their basketball tradition is mediocre and fires a guy who by all accounts liked Starkville and consistently had his program as one of the better ones in the SEC year after year. They make the decision to fire Stans with apparently no plan as to what to do next, and get a young asst from a program who themselves had less basketball success than MSU. Ray comes aboard and everybody promptly quits or gets kicked off the team. Then just before the season, three guys go down with injuries. More get hurt and/or suspended during the season and by years end they're playing a guy who looks like he should be cleaning up for the actives after a fraternity party, rather than playing SEC basketball

One thing ive learned about this team is every game will be a good game. Down 17 and came back to win by 1 we are a comeback team. I don't think the game will be separated by 5 so either lose by 5 or win by 5.

Tennessee has an RPI of 69. This is an important game for LSU to get that bad RPI number up.

It will be interesting to see how Tennessee handles Andrew Del Piero
Are you sure that CJJ will even play ADP? I think it would be great with him in the game, but CJJ seems to want to play next year's team in the tougher games.

Plus, our offensive scheme isn't built for the low post game. also a shame...

Still think they have a decent shot at the upset. Hickey broke his streak of not getting to the line last game. I think his total FT's in SEC play jumped from 11 to 15. He needs to keep driving and drawing fouls. I have a feeling his free throws will begin to fall for him once he gets over his fear. Not to mention that teams are giving him the lane nowadays.

HE usually starts ADP to see if he gives us any advantage. If he is neutralized and/or causing errors then he usually takes him out 2-4 minutes in and either we dont see him again or see him for a short stint again. If ADP gives us an advantage then he'll play him more significant minutes. Either ADP gives us about 4-6 minutes or 15-25 minutes. Just totally depends on how effective he can be or not.

It's a smart chess game move by JJ to see if it works or not.

The play of Del Piero has been sporadic to say the least, he will play 25+ min one game, then 4 the next. That being said, he is normally played when the matchup is good. It's not that he doesn't play in the "tough" games because Coach wants to ready next years team, he doesn't play in those games because those teams normally have a good answer for him. I don't think Tennessee has that answer.

If you've been watching our team recently, when we get into a half court offensive set, our main objective is to get the ball into the post. From there we may pass it out (see JOB's 8 assists last game) but we try to get the ball down low and play inside out. I

Hickeys problem at the free throw line isn't really mental. I feel he probably hasn't practiced them enough. He is a very confident guy so I don't think getting fouled more will help. What will help is an offseason of shooting 1,000 free throws a day.

The line has moved from 7 to 7.5 or 8 depending on who you are looking at. People are betting Tennessee. People are stupid.

I think if he's looking good tonight it will really help, but Tenn can lock him down. It would just be at the expense of doubling JOB.

If we get behind and have to start pressing, that means less ADP. We'll need to defend well at the start and keep JOB out of foul trouble. Playing against Stokes on the road may make that more difficult than it would seem given JOBs recent play.
