No surprise, but the Arkansas-LSU game has been moved back to Friday for next season. CBS had shown Auburn-Alabama the past 2 years.
From Robbie Neiswange sports writer who covers the Razorbacks for the Arkansas News Bureau/Stephens Media

Absolutely retarded if LSU agreed to this.

A short week game—over a holiday, at the end of the season—sucks. For both teams, I know ... although I don't give a shite about Arky.

I don't mind the Friday game. It would give us an extra day before the SEC championship.

So, Bama and Auburn didn't cash their CBS checks? LSU should do whatever it takes to make this as difficult as possible to happen.

It's also been moved to Friday for 2012 game.
LINK
The regular season ends with a trip to Baton Rouge, La., to take on LSU on Friday, Nov. 25. The annual Battle for the Boot returns to Friday after Thanksgiving after being played on Saturday the past two seasons. The game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports at 1:30 p.m. CT. The SEC has also announced the 2012 Arkansas-LSU football game will be played the Friday (Nov. 23, 2012) following Thanksgiving and will be televised by CBS Sports.

I like the Friday game. We did it for 13 straight seasons (1996-2008). It's what I'm used to.
As far as it being tougher for the players, I don't buy that. Arkansas has to play a day earlier to, so there really is no disadvantage. Also, if LSU does get into the SECCG, that is one more day to prep that the SEC East team doesn't have.
As far as day vs. night, chances are LSU-Arky would be a day game on Saturday anyway. This is too good of a match-up for it not to be. Look at this past season, it was a 2:30pm kick. If this game is played at night, chances are the two teams underachieved (2009).

Didn't have to compete with the iron bowl this year. Normally, the iron bowl would get top billing over the boot.
