I’m 6’3”/235. Brennan’s calves are smaller than my arms. Don’t believe me? Look at them during the spring game next week.

You have to love the fans who get personally attached to one player over another.

The "never fails" was referring to the poster calling someone dumb with a grammar error in the sentence calling someone else dumb. It's just hysterical when someone does that. Call it what you want, but it's funny as shite.

I want to believe but this will just be another hype thread

Namath? He could hardly walk when he was in the NFL. Rivers couldn't beat Mettenberger in a foot race, but the guy can play. Amazing how so many guys like Brady and Brees and both Mannings win Super Bowls, but folks figure LSU has to have a running quarterback to win.

The kid is skinny, I get it, but that's just the way it is for some youngsters coming out of high school. He's not physically blessed physique wise like some kids are, I was rail thin in HS, but worked my tail off to get bigger and stronger, and so will he I'm sure. Genetics is a funny thing, some kids are built like a body builder and have not lifted any weights in their young life coming out of HS, they just inherited it from the parents. LSU is working to get Brennan's weight up though, he's eating like 6 meals a day, and I'm sure snacks in between all the time, he probably has a high metabolism though like many that have small frames like that making it hard to keep the weight on.
but I like hearing about Lowell, he'll definitely be in on some packages I'm sure, too talented to not use. He's a threat running or throwing, strongest arm on the team, but throws with a really sweet touch on his balls.

LSU hasn't really had running QB's until recently, and even with them getting a running QB they've taken them and completely changed their style of play to convert them into pro style QB's under Miles. Totally messing them up in confusing them because you could see how uncomfortable they were running that type of offense, and getting unfairly criticized because they looked bad. So, I haven't a clue as to what the heck you're talking about. If Lowell Narcisse is used in the manner that he's used to playing in coming out of HS he'll be the first QB at LSU to finally play in a spread offense. Ensminger claims he will do just this, but I have to see it to believe it. He says he'll run a wide open RPO style offense, but then you hear other reports like some from Orgeron saying they will still run a pro style, but that it will be more west coast style. So, what is it, I'm confused, will you be wide open and using the spread or what??

Are u serious? A QB that can pass and run for damn sure delivers a higher ceiling and another headache for defenses.
True, but we’re talking about a QB who can run and CAN’T pass. I don’t get how that’s a higher ceiling.
Another thing, the conversation on here about QBs always proceeds as though running and passing are the only two qualities a QB needs. What about decision making and leadership?

I agree, No excuse for less than 10-2

Did u watch the second half of that game? The kid did nothing. Bama made an adjustment and it was a wrap. Coker had a Bama defense behind him. Anytime u can get ole Saban to start recruiting dual threats or qbs that can at least keep defense honest with their legs that tells u something. And Brennan is not outrunning anybody but maybe a DT.

Who said Narcisse can’t pass tho? We are talking ceilings remember.

A true freshman did nothing against an elite Bama defense when the game was out of reach in the final minutes of the game? What a shock.
Did you see Bama's latest quarterback commitment? Pro style pocket passer. Nick can win either way. You're a complete stooge if you think there's only one way.

Tom Brady and the Manning brothers aren't going to outrun anyone. Neither will Brees or Rivers. Yes, Coker had a defense at Bama. LSU is supposed to be pretty good on that side.
This frantic, silly schoolgirl belief that we have to have a running quarterback to win is foolish. The running quarterback didn't win the national championship last year. They won it on a pass with the quarterback standing in the pocket. Georgia pushed them to the limit with a quarterback who didn't run. Auburn beat them with a pass-first quarterback.
Ole Miss beat Bama a couple years just throwing the ball. No running game. Chad Kelly didn't run much. He chunked it.

These threads have me pulling really hard against him. Sounds like some desperate fanboys.

Remember JJ was the last QB to beat Bama. And one of the best winning percentages while at LSU. So let it go.

I see. "No excuse for less than 10-2" I really hope you're right. Honestly, I can't see this team going beyond 8 wins. Inexperience at quarterback, running back, wide receiver. Ensminger and others seem stoked on the receivers.
The last inexperienced receiver we had to break out was OBJ. I don't see him on the roster. Maybe Sullivan can get the most of Davis and Sullivan and Anderson. I hope so.
