Yes it will help. It helps even more than you think because it faces the student section and band, which will majorly increase that echo.

Also more tiger fans in the stadium and now mostly tiger fans in lower since the visitors will get the upper deck.

Louder PA music and speakers too.

It will be all around louder.

I think they designed the original east and west side stands steep as such back then since there were probably not many codes and could fit more within a lesser horizontal limit, then everything else followed those. So yeah, you are right was not really done for purpose of one day we will have the steepest loudest stadium. The original was just half of the east and west sides I believe, which is where my tickets are. It is pretty steep and narrow squeeze to get in there!

STOP IT - I was at Autzen for a night game that went down to the wire on national TV, and it is NO WHERE NEAR as loud as Tiger Stadium at night. It is ESPN and Nike propagating that nonesense.

I'd bet you that awnings in Tiger Stadium would prove popular during day games. The heat in the east stands and upper deck can be brutal during the day.

C'mon. Is it is loud as Tiger Stadium? No. For a stadium with under 60K capacity it is extremely loud.

I go to an LSU home game and Oregon home game every year, and while they don't compare, ESPN and Nike aren't just making that up.

Been there (Morgantown) twice, the 2011 LSU game and the 2012 Oklahoma 50-49 win. It's loud there but not Tiger Stadium or MB Louisiana Superdome loud. Cool venue though. They sell beer in the stadium. Until the end of the game.

Oregons Autzen stadium and the Seahawks stadium are two of the louder football places in the country because of the awnings over them, people say that the sound hits off of them and bounces back onto the field. Now with the end zone in closed at tiger stadium do you think that we will have a similar effect and the sound will bounce back onto the field.
No, because our fans no longer pack the stadium, and they leave early.

it would be interesting to see who has the steepest seating in the country.

Florida has very steep seating. Steepest I've been to. And probably 2nd loudest behind us.

It would be louder. Not because of the awning effect, but because of the bowl effect.

Take your phone and start playing a song. Now place it in a bowl. Results.

Going by these photos with similar angles, I still think LSU's is steeper. What do you think?
