Holtz came and spoke at a company function a few years back. Before his speech we talked for awhile. He told a few bad stories of when his Ark team came to BR. Said people chased his bus etc. Sounded like a bunch of crap but he evidently had bad blood toward LSU

No doubt. But Holtz said South Carolina was on Alabama's level. That's the point I was making.

South Carolina has looked really good to me so far.

Honestly I think its USC(e) vs UF for the east.
With Georgia as the spoiler.

But we digress.

Holtz is a homer. This has been a ESPN gag for every tick of the clock since he was hired.

Why be upset now?

Doesn't he say this every time Notre Dame is top 25?

He's a hack. This isn't news.

Why are we really worried about him? He hasn't coached in almost 10 years. He had a losing record at William and Mary, a losing record at the Jets, a losing record at Minnesota (Gophers), and a losing record at USCe.

Miles is nearly 20 years younger than Holtz and had 5 10+-win seasons just at LSU - Holtz has 7 10+ win seasons covering all of his stops and 33 seasons of head coaching.

He was a decent motivator who was at the right place at the right time.

LSU deserves to get criticized at this point. They have played pretty medicore. They may lost to Florida in a few weeks if they don't step it up.

Can't believe ESPN let Erin Andrews leave, but keeps Uncle Lou. Holtz has yet to pronounce Mettenberger's name correctly. I swear I heard him say Zackenberger last week. This week he called him something like Mecklingberg.

And what is the name of the last school that Holtz left that wasn't on probation?

Robert Smith is the same as Holtz. Smith used to be an Ohio State running back. Both Holtz and Smith are anti-LSU out of envy. They love The Big 10 and Notre Dame. If they have to acknowledge the SEC, they would rather confine it to only one team-Alabama. Also, for Smith he hates the fact that LSU beat his beloved Buckeyes in the 2007 BCS Title Game.

everyone knows that when two teams play & the winner hangs 600+ on the loosing team and the looser has 400+ total yards that these are premier programs that are well coached and need to be in the national championship talk. because high power O wins.
