Nelson Stokley was fantastic until he hurt his knee. He moved the offense and he I inspired confidence in the whole offense. A Great WB!...

The Stars Are Aligned

Posted by TigerBill2 on 12/13/19 at 4:13 pm
LSU's 3 National Championships came against (1) Clemson, (2) Oklahoma and (3) Ohio State. All three Championship Games were played in New Orleans. All are in this year's Championship field and the Championship game is in New Orleans. I've got this premonition about January 13....

Can Ohio State (South) Keep It Going

Posted by TigerBill2 on 9/17/18 at 1:04 pm
After "upsetting" Miami and Auburn will this team continue to improve or will it become complacent against LaTech, Ole Miss, etc.?...
After AJ's sensational finish in the Arkansas game, I couldn't figure out why our Coaches didn't want to allow him to throw against Iowa who was stacking the box and daring us to pass. Now it all makes perfect sense. They understood something that the rest of us didn't, namely, that AJ just isn't ...

Can we stop the Texas Jackrabbit?

Posted by TigerBill2 on 9/18/13 at 2:55 pm
Looking at Manziel's performance against Bama makes me wonder whether we (or anyone else) can stop him. 562 yards (464 passing; 98 running)against a Sabin defense is just unbelievable....

re: Lou Holtz - what is up with him?

Posted by TigerBill2 on 9/23/12 at 2:18 pm
Robert Smith is the same as Holtz. Smith used to be an Ohio State running back. Both Holtz and Smith are anti-LSU out of envy. They love The Big 10 and Notre Dame. If they have to acknowledge the SEC, they would rather confine it to only one team-Alabama. Also, for Smith he hates the fact that...

Toughest Schedule in History

Posted by TigerBill2 on 11/23/11 at 1:26 pm
So far we have played and beaten 6 ranked teams, including 2 in the top five. If we win out, we will have played 9 ranked teams (counting Arkansas, Georgia and presumably, Alabama again). Four of those teams would be top three (Oregon #3, Alabama #2, Arkansas #3 and Alabama #2 again). In the hist...

Key To LSU Victory over Alabama

Posted by TigerBill2 on 10/31/11 at 5:10 pm
The key to defeating Bama is stopping the run (including but not limited to Trent Richardson). If Bama can move the ball on the ground with any consistency, they will win. If we can stop the run and force Bama to throw the ball, McCarron is a first year QB (who has not faced serious pressure becau...

re: New Oregon lyles NCAA article

Posted by TigerBill2 on 7/1/11 at 2:24 pm
This whole article is just catastrophic for Oregon. Lyles provides Yahoo Sports with extensive contemporaneous documentary evidence to back up his story, e.g., emails, handwritten notes/letters, phone records. Predictions: (1) LaMichael James will be declared ineligible, (2) Lache Seastrunck will ...

MIles is really Jacques Clousseau

Posted by TigerBill2 on 10/3/10 at 8:32 am
Consider how Chief Inspector Clousseau used his incompetence at a weapon. As former Chief Inpector Dreyfuss remarked, "They haven't got a chance." When you think about Miles legendary clock management skills (Ole Miss and Penn. St. last year), you can easily appreciate what a stroke of genius his ...

re: 1966 College Football Season

Posted by TigerBill2 on 7/5/09 at 8:09 pm
I remember the season well. Notre Dame played a really soft schedule in those days, and Michigan State was easily the class of the Big 10 (which was generally known as the Big 2 and the Other 8), an unusual year because Ohio St. and Mich. generally ruled this weak league. Mich. St. was built prima...

Remember when they said LSU's OLine, RBs and WRs were so good and so deep that all the QB needed to do was manage the game? Last night we told JL that we can't run the ball (where was the run blocking?) and we can't give you much pass protection (several times FL rushers came off the edge without b...
I still think the Chaz Ramsey Chop block on Dorsey was likely intentional. I will never forget the SEC official looking straight at it and not even throwing a flag. I can't prove that Tuberville was involved but I suspect that those two Auburn guys were told to do that so that they could at the l...
