RR was nothing but mediocre at WVU until he recruited Slaton and White.

huh?

he won 3 big east titles

4 New years day bowl games

6 straight bowl games

of course Slaton and White were good. Just think what Michigan could do against the Slow 10 once he is allowed to implement the type of players he needs to win.

Sorry LE, you're on serious crack if you think RR is a good coach, or a better coach than Les Miles.

Les Miles has done nothing but lose my confidence over the last few years...sorry to say.....RR is a better coach, hands down

Available or Soon to be Available:

Jeff Fisher - Titans
John Gruden
Mike Shannahan
Bill Cowher

Three of the above can show personal superbowl rings to recruits w/ NFL dreams.

LSU is currently paying 4 million /year. Just about anyone is a possibility for that cheese.

This is F-ing comical. Please wake up.

Wow, the stupidity on this thread is vast. Tommy Tuberville, are kidding me. Don't get me wrong I think he is a pretty good coach, but look at his coaching record. He has had all but 2 seasons with 2 or less losses. TWO!!in 14 seasons. Miles has had 3 in 4 seasons. Auburn is at no lack of talent either. What makes you think he would do better than Miles? You people would run him out of town the moment we had 2 losses, just like you're trying to do to Miles. Please stop letting this loss cloud you're brains.

Who does Auburn have to compete with year-in and year-out for recruiting?

And who does LSU have to compete with in-state?

cause i dont like the option

and the ACC is a horrible conference. playing in the ACCCG isnt a big deal

I don't care for either of those guys, but how anybody could pick RR over PJ is beyond me.

i guess the same reason that dozens of teams run some sort of the spread that RR help make popular, whereas 2 or 3 teams still run the option like Paul Johnston does

Before RR, WVU's records:

8-4
7-5
8-4
4-7
7-5 26-21 in the four years before RR

After RR arrives:
3-8
9-4
8-5
8-4 28-21 in four years after RR arrives...2 more wins....VT and Miami leave before the 8-4 year

RR after VT and Miami leave the Big East:
11-1
11-2
11-2

Who are the players RR recruited that are replacing Pat White and Steve Slaton? I'm not seeing them...RR got lucky by Miami and VT leaving the conference just as he hit the jackpot with players better than any he ever recruited, before or after.

RR sucks and will be a failure at Michigan, and at his next job too.

its not about who he recruited. West VA isnt exactly the ideal place to play football.

Bottom line is he won a lot of games on his philosophy and coaching style.

No who he recruited and sent to the NFL

Irrelevant, Auburn has owned Alabama for the past 10 years. Tuberville only had to deal with Saban for 2 years. AND Auburn has had just as many if not more players drafted in the past 10 years than Alabama. Still only TWO seasons of 2 losses or less.

How is the University of Alabama irrelevant?

for RR, they don't even last 2 weeks at Michigan. If only he had gone to Bama and kept their program in the dumps.

LOLOL what was the Big East after Miami, Virgina Tech, and BC left? RR didn't win shite when they were in the conference. And the Big East after they left was CUSA. Seriously, almost every team in the Big East today was in CUSA just a few years ago. RR won CUSA. Woohoo!

I'm convinced you're just pimping RR to get a reaction from people. You can't really believe that.

Tell you what, I made your quote about trading RR for Les Miles my sig. We'll see in the next couple of years how this goes. Maybe I'll look stupid, but I know for sure I don't want that guy anywhere near LSU.

my vote would be for Jim Harbaugh.

He's got the fire/personality of Lane Kiffin except he has massive credibility as an NFL QB and now as a coach, since he's turned Stanford around (along with U. of San Diego)

Damn, this is the most ridiculous thread I have ever read.

Tommy Tuberville?, Rich Rodriquez, Del Rio, Fisher....on and on...

You've got to be kidding me..

Miles is way better than any of those names, and I am not a Miles fan..

Miles lost 5 SEC games last season. We only play 8 SEC games. Yeah, he's elite.

I'm not expecting LSU to have to replace Les Miles any time soon, but Jim Harbaugh would have to be near the top of any list for a big-time job, I think.

My guess is, if UM fires RR (they probably won't this year), then Harbaugh might get the nod. If they can get over the comments he made about them a couple of years ago.
