Huh?

Even before Daniels got hurt he wasn’t getting many touches at all per game. I really don’t know how good he actually is because I haven’t seen him catch much.

Brown is a return specialist-demon, that's why.

Im not sure how we can definitely say any of those are upgrades. My feeling is 1 or 2 might be, but really hard to say. That dude did nothing at florida other than being highly rated

If he got 1 tackle at Florida he did better than JK Jonhson did for us.

I would have preferred to have kept Pimpton. More upside IMO. But once he took that fatal step, I'm glad we picked up Sharp.

It isn’t about just 1:1 replacements. We needed to keep guys like CJ Daniels while still signing portal guys.

okay, that's a good point, but what OP is saying, is this:

if you lose CJ D and don't get an equal or upgrade, it would be a huge failure.

How the hell is Barion Brown and upgrade over CJ Daniels?

CJ had 400 yds rec with 0 TDs at LSU.

Brown has over 3,000 all purpose yds and 18 TDS at UK. All American kick returner in 2023.

122 recs for 1,528 and 11 TDs in the SEC. Broke the SEC record for return TDs.

{Pimpton} had already been passed up by a true freshman. He’s not an impact SEC player.

First, Green was a 5* and thus supposed to be all world. Second, you can be a quality starter or valued reserve and not be an "impact SEC player" or All-SEC. Pimpton as has been speculated is one of the two transfers that surprised Kelly and obviously wanted him to stay. I agree with him. Pimpton just needs more playing time. He is a loss.

Only way to properly quantify wins vs losses is to wait until the roster is set and side by side compare who we lost vs who we got. Recruiting class has to be included as many of our transfers aren't really losses. They were necessary in order to fit the incoming class in. Depth still matters.

Is he? Or is he very athletic and the special teams coach knows what he is doing?

That's a dumb way to look at it. CJ Daniels is a loss for LSU. He was hurt the entire season even when he was playing. He's a good WR. I wish he stayed.

Agreed. He's a really good player, a good locker room guy, and does all the little things well. Great blocker at the WR position too.

Really wish he'd stay.

Womack and Butler are different types of players, but I wouldn’t say Butler is better than Womack.

Butler has had more opportunities for sure but he's produced as well. Womack really hasn't You can't play badly and not give effort. That's a recipe for being asked to leave by a legit coaching staff. He will flame out at Ole Miss too.
