Lost in the Leavitt News: Ole Miss’ OT Situation…

Maybe getting overlooked with all the attention on Leavitt, but Ole Miss’ backup LT is OUT and their starting RT is QUESTIONABLE. That could be a pretty big deal against this LSU front; not to mention a pissed off Prince.
If the RT is out or even limited, I would expect LSU to test that edge early and often. Definitely something to watch Saturday.

They dead arse don’t believe he would still be starting if he would’ve stayed.
If he gets a roughing the passer call early in the game I can’t be mad at him for that. They are trying to publicly humiliate them.

The starting RT is limited even when healthy. During the Louisville game the announcers mentioned the ole miss staff said he’s way overweight and won’t be in playing shape until the back half of the season.

I remember thinking how the frick can your starting tackle be out of shape for game 1. Apparently Lanes fall camps were really tough. The new crew decided to go easier on them. It’s not going to end well.

Ole Miss has 3 difference maker offensive players. Chambliss, Lacy, and Alexander. They have to be contained. Those 3 can beat you.
Ole Miss doesn’t have a good center. I think Gerald’s and Co. have a mismatch at that critical position.

I caught that too. It was a weird thing to say your starting tackle isn’t in game shape, but apparently we have no better options. Sorry Curne.
