Perkins should have been the star from the get go...

It's a better position for him than ILB for sure, I'm assuming they were just trying to get Burns on the field as well.

This is our base front from the offense’s POV left to right.

Down lineman- DE, NT, DT
LBs- Star, WLB, MLB, Jack

That plays on the strong side opposite the Star player. This isn’t hard unless you’re ignoring common sense and basic football terminology to make an argument.

Can you explain, through common sense and basic football terminology, why you believe the Jack, who is the primary pass rushing linebacker, plays on the strong side of the formation?

I've always believed the Jack is primarily a weak side player and Google searches seem to agree.

Google doesn’t agree and all you have to do is look at how we line up on video

I can post multiple links stating the Jack plays primarily weak side, you would find a way to nitpick them but they definitely exist.

It also makes no sense to rush your primary pass rushing linebacker from the strong side.

I pulled this from the LSU film room session, clearly shows Swinson lined up on the weak side.

That isn’t a base look, look at the splits, it’s a pressure package. You’ve got Perkins lined up as an end and 1 LB (Weeks) in the formation.

Then post a base look, it doesn't matter what I post, you will always nitpick it.

Meanwhile, here is Swinson again on the weakside on Nicholls' first touchdown.

My only concern is the extra weight that Perkins has added to play inside.

i thought of this too but hes moving pretty well with it....

There will always be a deflection with you.

Have a good one.

That’s not a deflection, you just don’t know what you’re talking about and are dishonest.

If Perk is at Star and West weeks is out this week -> wonder who the third ILB would be? Keys?

Standard offensive formation is right handed so I gave the standard defensive alignment. You do know that a formation can be strong left sometimes right? You just flip the D to coincide with the formation. You can’t be this ignorant

What's your excuse for the Jack playing weak side though?
