So, is a top 25 loss really "one of the worse losses in lsu history"

Yes. Losing to Troy on homecoming is literally never OK.

etc etc?

Correct. We have much more talent, much more resources, and supposedly replaced the buffoon at head coach that was holding us back. Defending that loss makes you look, to put it lightly, retarded.

WRONG... LSU still could have won the west and the SECCG... And yes the way everything played out they still could have made the playoffs........

Is that why Ohio State didn't get in as a conference champ with two losses? tOSU gets more favorable treatment than LSU does.

Im not defending the loss. We should have won

Melting about a loss to a likely top 25 team like you have all year makes you look mildly retarded

Melting about losing to a sunbelt team when we were told we are competing for championships is never retarded.

For where we are as a program, that is unacceptable.

ETA: You say you aren't defending the loss, but it sure seems like you are.

Losing to a top 25 sunbelt team is better than losing to a p5 team with a losing record.......

I know that logic is lost on you though

But LSU would have beaten A Number one Bama on the road and then beat A Number 1 UGA in the SEC title game... They would have been in......

Nope. Just pointing out the unwarranted melt some have about the loss

UGA was number 1? Interesting. tOSU beat undefeated Wisconsin and still didn't get in. You can't guarantee anything. We got blown out by a marginal State team. having that loss to Troy on top if it guaranteed we'd be out.

I can’t believe people are still arguing.

The loss was heinous. We missed a FG, they got to make one at half, but the game shouldn’t have been that close.

Players and coaches treated Troy like a ULM and thought they could just show up. Terrible mistake by the entire team and coaches. They should prepare to shut them out and dominate like Saban treats these teams. They have to remember we are their Super Bowl when we play these G5 teams.

O and players better learn from this.

Says that guy that went on a 6 year melt for a national championship winning coach, while defending O's at best average first year.

you would have been happier keeping CLM and going 8-4 beating Troy?

No, Les needed to be fired.

But that doesn't mean O can't be criticized, does it?

This is where we are as a program, a 28 page thread with people promoting the merits of a Troy loss.

Not sure what you're trying to say here, but the head coach gets the brunt of the blame. It's how it was with Miles, and it's how it will be with O and all future coaches.
