Correct. We have much more talent, much more resources, and supposedly replaced the buffoon at head coach that was holding us back. Defending that loss makes you look, to put it lightly, retarded.

Like a severely mentally deficient moron, you didn't mention that we had a ton of key players out for that game on both offense and defense and that Arden Key at that time was a mere shell of his former self. Not to mention, that Troy is a very strong football team that probably could beat several SEC teams this season.

I don't know what happen to you moonbat, but I'm guessing your mother must have dropped you on your head when you were a little baby because there is something definitely severely wrong with your brain. You know...it's like it is stuck on stupid.

Anyway, idiot, stick that Troy loss up your backside sideways. It is not the embarrassing loss you loons have been trying to pretend that it is. The only people you are fooling are other dumb lunatics like yourself. Nonetheless, everyone with at least half a brain knows you negatiger loons are all morons.

This is a very appropriate football topic. It is the exact kind of thing this board is here for.

LSU still could have won the west and the SECCG

LSU was 0-1 in the SEC on September 16 after a fricking 30 point arse kicking to a mediocre Mississippi State. After losing to a SBC team, we were 3-2 and out of the playoffs in the minds of all but the delusional. If you want to play what if we beat Alabama and Georgia, have fun with your delusions but the rest of us live in the real world and not some stupid what if shite.

In 2016 I didn't see you here saying LSU still had the chance to win the west and the SEC after four games.

Neither of those games determined whether we won the west or not. After the Troy game we still controlled our own destiny in the SEC.

We did in 2016 after the Auburn loss as well.

Sad.

Thing is you're not a real fan. If you were you'd be embarrassed by the loss. But you're not so I guess I can see how it didn't affect you.

Yes you are.

No one is defending the loss or "promoting the merits" of the loss like some of you dumbasses claim. To a man everyone has said it was a horrendous loss.
People are simply pointing out that Troy wasn't as bad as advertised.....despite how much you want them to suck to fit your agenda.

Bruh, can you just not read? This thread is full of excuses for the loss and talking up Troy as some good team.

It's almost exactly where we were this year, except neither loss was a blow out or to Troy for homecoming.

They caught lightning in a bottle....what else is there to say.

Bad teams generally don't win 11 games....Sunbelt or otherwise....but rant on!!

Sure. "I'm not defending the loss, but . . . top 25 team, but . . . Sun Belt champs, but . . . team rallied after, may not have done so otherwise . . ."

A lot according to several in this thread.

Better slow down, because that would mean bad coaches don't average that over a decade.

You're defending troy with this post, when you just said no one is doing that.

Do bad teams win 11 games? If you can explain how they can...I'm all ears. I know it's relative....but they were obviously "good" enough that night to beat us.

And if they are a "bad" team.....what does that say about us? Are we then too a bad team?

Two teams....one with 11 wins...the other with potentially 10....and both are "bad" teams I guess.

Makes sense.

I dunno, do bad coaches average that many wins over a decade? Time for you to go on record.

You're starting to get the point. LSU was not a "good" team this year. We feasted on shite teams while winning one good game.

It does if you don't just go by the numbers and actually look at what our record is made up of.

These numbers you dolt.

Fla St at 5, UCLA at 11 and TAMU at 15 ranked one spot ahead of OU who's in the playoff. GTFO if you give any merit to a teams talent based on what a group of recruiters said about people 3-4 years ago. Works great in a hypothetical but not so much when you look at how many people over/under perform their recruiting rank.

They have a coach who will be the next "big" thing when coaching searches come next year. In all honesty, LSU should take a strong look at him if they end up moving on from O for any reason. He has completely transformed that Troy program into a legit program.
