The offseason is prime time for WRs to improve their catching skills. Any S&C coach who doesn't do this is hurting his team.

So why isn't the HC making sure this apparently fundamental part of the S&C coach's job is being performed?

I’m surprised to see buckeye jeaux roast coach o like he’s doing in this thread. Calling him out for neglecting the wide outs.

Seriously man, you need to shoot a resume over to o and the athletic department. Wisdom like yours shouldn't be wasted on the likes of us here on the rant.

He's obviously an o-hater.

You still on this shite about Moffitt and Jugs machines? Seems like Brady has got the receivers, you should worry more about OSU losing recruits

This one goes all the way up to Woody. And yes, O, E, and Brady need to do some soul-searching.

If LSU seriously wants to have a passing game, dead last in drops is a horrendous problem. They should fix it today.

Hire a U-haul truck and go pick up some Jugs type machines. Make a permanent Jugs area. It could be fixed by Friday.

Receivers could easily have 10,000 reps by the Bama game.

I think all Louisianians should contact their state congress members and ask that a special line item be placed in the fiscal budget for jugs machines. This is an issue that cannot be left to fester.

You know that they are already required to get 10,000 reps in. Funny you used that number. You are playing a game.

We have jugs machines.

Brady tweeted about the WRs using them.

You posted an article about how MUCH Jarvis and Odell used them.

We have a drops issue. But that doesn’t mean we have a jugs machine issue.

Having a 10,000 goal, and getting sufficient Jugs access to achieve that 10.000 goal are two different things.

Here are stats from CBS Sports (CBS - they actually have a professional relationship with the SEC)

Those aren't stats from CBS Sports. They are stats from a twitter account. The guy with the account happens to write for CBS Sports and other organizations.

Do you, btw, assume everything ever written on Wiki is a lie? It is crowd-sourced and most things are largely unverified. Thus, by your logic, they are not just suspect. They are wrong no matter what.

Wow Clam Drip... Are you that dumb, or do you think we are?

The CFB stats aren't from Wikepedia - if they were, they could be challenged, and corrected. And, in fact, stat guys in the big 10 tried to get CFB to do that*.

And Tom Fornelli is a professional sports writer associated with CBS Sports. Fornelli has a professional reputation to defend... unlike you and CFB.

*Big-10 stat nerds liked the idea of a true wiki approach to stats like drops, hurries, and the like that are not widely available - but wanted them to be fully reviewable - CFB never followed up.

Why does Fornelli have a reputation but not CFB?

They do the same thing.

CBS is just worth more.

We know who Tom Forenelli is. No one knows who runs CFB. The best guess around Columbus was that it was 2 Ohio State students, but that was never confirmed. And that they used click bait stats to boost revenues. Accurate stats don't get much attention. Inaccurate stats drive clicks.

This is their clever disclaimer to keep from getting de-platformed (from their website under FAQ):

quote:

Why are your stats wrong?

Yes, we know our stats don’t match up with the numbers you’re seeing elsewhere.
There are a number of reasons for this.

Most frequently, especially with common statistics such as rushing and passing yards, it’s because we believe the NCAA’s policy for recording official statistics is archaic, at best, and often just flat out illogical.

He can’t look at Moffit or talk to him or it’s a violation

Ok but they both need to be relatively accurate or people won’t trust them.

A lot to discuss there

1. Why wouldn’t accurate stats drive revenue? People love stats.

2. How do you think Fornelli makes money?

Also the NCAA doesn’t keep track of drops...

So again how is their number worse

Who actually keeps stats for the NCAA? I don’t think anyone offers a degree in football stat sheet keeping. They’re all to some extent some guy who writes shite down.

Almost all official stats are very objective. To some extend. ( you can argue if a sack should count as negative rushing yards)

But a called catch is easily tracked.

A TD is easily counted

Drop. That’s subjective. And not something there are really experts in.

Lol. What's your "source" on this "best guess around Columbus?"

So, not only is CFB Film Room wrong, they are being malicious to prop up other QBs compared to the guy who transferred from Ohio State. Got it.

btw, B.Jeauxb, do you know how LSU ranks for WRs in the NFL in the last 19 years, the time that Moffit has been messing things up? If this is his fault, then the results would be consistently bad.

# of LSU WRs drafted since Moffit has been at LSU: 18
# of Clemson WRs drafted during same period: 14
# of Bama WRs drafted during same period: 8

NFL Opening Day 2018 saw 4 LSU WRs on rosters, which was best for 3rd in the NFL.

Moffitt should "move on" if he is blocking the use of the Jugs machines (even blocking it little bit).

This buckeye dude is a rare breed of something, for someone to be wrong as much as he is, you would think they would admit it every now and then, hell I do it all the time, this guy just can't do it
