2021-22 was an actual complete ground up rebuild and look how that turned out. There’s ammo in the chamber now, just have to reload.

My biggest concerns are getting the defense to at least average level and Nuss. He’s got a cannon and raw talent, but makes way too many careless mistakes. He won’t be able to get away with that in close games against top teams.

The good news is Kelly teams have a history of developing QBs to be MUCH better than they looked in their early careers, with JD5 being the latest example.

And right now we have 25 commits and #14 in team rankings. That is not going to cut it for winning the SEC.

Agreed. Lacy and Hilton are the only ones with experience.

There is potential for a good defense because of the players with eligibility remaining. I would expect the offense to still be good especially if they keep the staff on that side of the ball intact.

You can't be serious? All this clown does is hate on Nuss. He literally compares him to Brennan (post injury) and implied he would he no competition for a transfer. Refers to Nuss as the only issue with next years team. Repeatedly calls for a transfer QB to replace him. FOH

Who is playing on the defensive line? Defensive secondary? Looks weak to me.

Nuss will be awesome. He can really sling it. Will be in the Heisman race. Our o line will be great. Awesome running backs. We still have great receivers and tight ends. Our defense will be much improved. Can’t wait. NegaTigers beware!!!

CBK is bringing in a QB. Don’t assume it’s Nuss

Unless there are changes, schedule next season is brutal.

What did the 2022 team look like with him?

Kelly earned the benefit of the doubt for developing offensive talent. Let’s see what he does about defense in the offseason

2022 was a solid, overachieving team. Daniels was good not great, similar to Burrow’s 2018.

Kelly took over a depleted program and has gone 12-4 in the SEC, so he’s earned some trust for sure. But being realistic, very rarely does a poor defense turn into a great defense the next year. We could improve to average, but without Daniels, Nabors, and Thomas providing greatness on offense, can the offense carry an average defense?

In other words, can the defense improve more than the offense regresses?

If not, I just don't see how we get to 9 wins. I could see an 8 win season, or worse. That will be hard to stomach.
