Look alive. Im about to pump sunshine.

Tigers beat UCLA. Close or not, its 1-0. And its a power 5 warmup.
Mcneese and CMU are good tuneups for State. Something we sorely missed last year as we were not prepared at all and looked like a deer in headlights vs Leach.
State is a win this year. DL will be too damn good for that pass happy BS. Thats 4-0.
Then.. Auburn. This will not be easy. Tank Is a monster RB. Nix has experience. But its in BR. Its not exaggeration to say this is going to be a nail biter in baton rouge. But 5-0.
No point going farther than this. LSU should be either 5-0 or 4-1 going into Kentucky.
That Auburn game will be where my expectations are made. A lot of people are overlooking those other tigers.

Agree 100%. D will be nasty and O will be a lot better than anyone thinks.

Should a program like LSU really need tune ups for a program like State? It’s not like Leach is a new coach and no one knew what system he runs, he’s been doing it for years. We should NOT have been caught off guard in that game.

Loads of talent, tons of returning experience (last year was the growing pains), returning starter at QB, and O’s hand-picked coordinators implementing modern, inventive concepts. Undefeated going into Bama? I’m thinking undefeated going into the SECCG.

It’s really time that we stop playing down to Auburn’s level. We’ve out recruited them for years. We’ve now got a coaching staff that won’t leave the building early to go golfing. Auburn being on our level talent wise is a myth. A handful of their players are studs, sure, but they don’t match us pound for pound. We need to beat them handily.

Since when would it be considered sunshine pumping to believe LSU should be 5-0 (or even 4-1) after our first stretch of those games?
4-1 would be the absolute floor, and would still be kind of disappointing. Anything less than that would be completely unacceptable. But we are now considering living up to the expectations that LSU should be at, sunshine pumping?

Anytime you don’t just concede LSU will lose every football game ever then you are pumping sunshine. I don’t make the rules I just follow them.

Agreed, no other way to say it. Based on our roster and home/away match-ups, that is where we should be. Can't wait to get this season started.
