Logic tells you no way LSU Football can repeat the best season of all time, but....

Then you look at the roster with all that talent and say....we could be even better!

It’s going to come down to QB play. Always has always will

It's going to take a lot to surpass the greatest football team in CFB history.

But I'm all for it.

I don't think we'll be better than '19. I do think we have enough talent to beat every team on our schedule and repeat.

One of the big challenges for Ed is to navigate the schedule and mature the team simultaneously.

Better? Than last year? No way. But if MB can just hold down the fort, we can easily be in the conversation.

Beat Bama. You circle that one on the calendar and get the W, you’ll be top 4 for sure.

We don’t have to be better. Just 80% as good.

The 2019 LSU team got better and better as the year went on. They could have played forever and never lost a game.

They really did, esp the defense. By the end of the year, LSU beats Texas and Auburn by 3 TDs easy.

Exactly! Can you imagine if MB puts up only 75% as good of numbers as JB did, how good that really is? It will be interesting to see if the new OL can protect MB as well as they did JB. I just wish they would have let MB play the whole playbook and pass some more when he was in last year. Yes, the team improved, especially the defense. But to achieve similar results as 2019, the defense next year will have to play better all year, and I think that is possible.

That was the greatest season in football anyone has ever had or witnessed.

It was incredible.

Sincerely, I say good luck to MB.

Brennan will never be as good as Burrow. Burrow played at a level never before seen. There's a reason for that.

Ahh, you just started watching football. How cute. In a few decades you'll understand the game and realize just how special last year was and you'll be sorry you made such stupid statements. Poor wittle snowflake.

And i am just saying you are wrong. This excuse needs to stop.

LT Rosenthal - started 5/6 games last year.
LG Ingram - Played last year. Started a full season prior to his suspension.
C Hines - Started at LG 2 years ago...for part of the season. New position.
RG New Guy.
RT Deculus - Two year starter.

Depth is going to be another story.....at least in the beginning of the season.

LSU doesn't have to repeat the best season of all time for LSU to compete for a natty in 2020. That 2019 team will probably never be equaled by anyone. Nonetheless, that doesn't mean LSU is incapable of winning another natty cause it is.

Agreed.

The defense got better and better as key starters slowly began returning from injury one by one. The folks that didn’t realize this talked a lot of shite about the defense early in the season.

The folks that saw this knew the only real threat was Alabama. And they ended up not being much of a threat at all.

No team in the nation will out talent LSU.
