That is how it SHOULD be, but in reality that is not how it is. You see, they have this little thing associated with your #1 choice called the Major league draft. And in this draft there are what we call Rules. And in some cases the junior college choice jumps all the way up to #2. Not for all cases but for many very special players, it is unquestionably the choice. I am not saying that is what Schmidt should do because I really want him here. What I am saying is that life is reacted upon reality, not should, or what we wish would occur.

That’s great and all, but we aren’t talking in generalities. We’re talking about a very specific situation where the choice was between LSU and JUCO. The details of which have been plastered all over the board for weeks and have been nearly impossible to miss.
