He’s got to get more confidence in his offspeed stuff but he’s that dude you want out there in tight situations in late innings.

It's currently 5.40 and It's super early in the year. He just gave us 2.1 innings of great pitching. They got one good swing off of him. If you watch you can see he's got great mental toughness. Umpire squeezed him on what should have been a strike 3, he just blew it by the guy on the next pitch. He gave up the home run and then a dribbler in no man's land by first base putting the tying run on first base, and he strikes the next batter out to end the game.
He also closed out Vanderbilt in an elimination game in the Nashville regional last season.

Wutt?? Fire him?? Johnson is now a Rock star just like Maineri was before he drifted off into irrelevancy. I hop the same doesn't happen to Johnson, but I don't think that it will because you can see this guy knows how to fire up a damn team and recruit top talent to keep it rolling.

I don't completely trust him yet. He's had some control issues. But I'm not going to question Jay.
