I’m stoked to see this come to fruition. Dr. Marucci told me about these 18 months or so ago and they look every bit how he described them. If I remember correctly, he actually designed them and owns the patent on them.

Love to see LSU keeping up with the rest of the conference, and also rolling out something no one else has. Good stuff.

If i was an NFL eligible JR, this new facility would make me come back for my Sr year if nothing else.

You'd put off a potential for life changing money for a public nap bed?

The upgrades are top notch and extremely impressive.

That said, I don’t see a scenario in which any JR with an evaluation within the first three rounds stays for sleeping pods.

I don’t think so either, but this is certainly nicer than a lot of NFL facilities.

JJ Watt had to sleep on a mattress in an equipment room between practices and workouts

Lmao its not only the bed. And if i can go pro this year, I’d be able to go pro next year as well with a degree to fall on.

How many former college athletes have similar stories?

These sleeping pods are huge for recruiting. Whether or not they impact returning JR’s remains to be seen.

He has to do that with the Texans now. Idk if it will have an impact on returning juniors, but can’t hurt

Would it be a hard decision to leave LSU for a smaller school for playing time? Especially being realistic that you probably won’t make it to the pros? You won’t have all the new toys and a nutrition center feeding you like a king everyday. Stuff like that you get used to everyday will not be a option at other places. If you really believe you have the talent to make it to the pros or you want that shot to play then you have to do what you have to do.

I’m all for the new additions if it convinces a blue chip LT or 2 to come our way.

Drop that AC to 65 dim those lights give them a light Binky and a Snore fest between practices will ensue.

I have no idea what kind of person has an issue with this statement. Getting a degree is worth more than just making an NFL team. I mean, yea, if you are guaranteed several million, sure, go pro, but if all you can get is the minimum, that degree is worth more. I mean over the long haul it is.

If all you get is the minimum (~$500,000) you can afford to finish school. You could afford most universities just being on a practice squad for season.
