that's gub'mint for you. FL could charge $35 extra and send $25 to LSU and still make $10 more than they otherwise would have. But, hey.... you enjoy your state budget crisis and all....
It's dumb because FL offers like 100 different types of license plates.

Really dumb. They offer a plate for every damn organization/school in Florida including crap schools like FIU, but no LSU or any school outside of Fl for that matter. Just want to get something personalized to show my support. Thanks for all the suggestions this far. Any more would be appreciated as I try to get something that's not already taken!

I know i'm resurrecting an old thread but I saw someone with a Miami heat plate back home with an LSU sticker. Car was a black Mercedes S63. You could possibly get a ticket but in South Florida they're very casual about stuff like this. Just don't block your numbers. Friends father has a ferrari 430 with this exact same plate with the Scuderia Shield over the logo.

Really? Would you want a Louisiana plate in Blue and Orange sporting a Gator head just because the state could make money?
Ask the Georgia fans how they like driving through Valdosta and seeing UF, UT, Bama, and LSU on Georgia plates rolling by.
Nah,THIS the state of Florida did right. I love my Tigers that's why I have plates, stickers, and magnets.

For starters, even with homesteading, my property taxes doubled the first five years in my first home there. Then there's having a certified state "expert" to assess/oversee the trimming of your own mangroves. Permit required, of course. Same for trimming/removal of the beloved Brazilian pepper tree(member of the poison ivy family.) Six different law enforcement agencies needing boats/jet skis and officers to patrol the little finger of the river I lived on. I could go on and on and on...
