Yes. The analytics and “it works bc others are also doing it” arguments are weak. Part of making the shift work is pitching to accommodate the positioning. our pitching staff doesn’t hit their spots enough to complement the shift. Those numbers are in plain sight

Drives me mad to see a Left Handed Batter up. Everyone shifts to the right. Literally nobody from 2b to 3b. You look up and the catcher is set up on the outside of the plate and sure enough it is an outside pitch.

It was the combination of you not being able to come up with or record a coherent thought. It’s still bullshite now, just with punctuation added and you’re still a fricking imbecile.

The shift has its place especially if you are pitching to support it. What I’m not sure about is having Milam shift between 2nd and 1st and leave your 2nd baseman on 2nd. And 3rd on 3rd. That gaping hole seems to easy to adjust for the shift and drive it the opposite way. Especially with your prized short stop completely out of position between 1st & 2nd.

When you see a ball going right where a player would have been, it is frustrating. However, sometimes I wonder if it was more about the pitch location than the actual shift. Did the hitter beat the shift because the pitcher didn't out the ball where it needed to be?

Wrong opinions, though. Baseball coaches have huge sample sizes that they study to make their decisions. People like the OP are just ejaculating without any data.
