Thats your takeaway? Little was far from the worst pitcher we used. And not to mention the entire pitching staff struggled. Our offense also left a lot to be desired. We scored 18 runs over the 3 games for an average of 6 runs a game. As oppossed to Mississippi state scoring a whopping 33 runs over the weekend. Some of that is due to our pitching staff but their offense was a lot more impressive than ours this weekend.

You're NOT calling pitches and you're NOT coaching this team. There's a very good reason for this. No one gives a damn what you would do "if you were coaching".

STFU, lol
This is a message board. Someone bitching about a player is OK but not a coach? You think they're a better pitcher than Little?

Bottom line, it WAS 3 straight fastballs and his slider had been on point. Why did the pitching coach or whomever calls the pitches call zero breaking pitches? I'll assume Yetske is the pitch caller. That was an atrocious sequence from whomever it is.

In 4 years (2@Vandy, 2@LSU)

W-L. ERA IP H R ER
6 - 6. 5.78 124.2 113 87 80

Those look like good SEC stats to you?

Dude is not going to get better.

No, I’m not. I’m looking at his body of work this season. Nothing more than that. He’s had some tough luck with the defense behind him. All of the runs he’s given up has been bc the defense was bad or out of position. There is some contact but hasn’t really been hit hard at all.

You want to pull up his HS stats also? He has looked better with his control and hasn’t been hit hard at all. If you are basing what he has in past years then yes, his number aren’t great. He has been good this year. Even today.

We gave up 33 runs over the weekend and you’re choosing Little to shite on. Your logic is flawed.

Little is a talented pitcher and he's getting much better. He's very close to turning that corner. I hope it happens this season, but if not he's a guy that I could see being a better pro than college pitcher

People have been saying that for 3 years now.

year 2 at Vandy "he's about to turn a corner"
year 1 at LSU "We know he left Vandy but he's about to turn that corner"
year 2 at LSU "Last year was his first year here, he's going to turn the corner soon"

at what point do you give up?

The dude is not and never will be a serviceable SEC pitcher or likely even D1 for that matter. He’s a liability, please for the love of God, end the Little experiment.

He throws 95 and actually showed a nice slider this weekend.

He still struggles being consistent. But, I think Jay believes there's a chance he can contribute by the end of the year.

Keep in mind, that we already know Jay will just shelve guys by the time postseason comes if he knows they can't be effective.

Yall should well know that WLSU (Woke Louisiana State University) has to have a certain % of minorities in their athletic program and WLSU Station Manager and President William "Math is Racist" Tate will make sure that it happens.

Yall think Corbin is going to let a serviceable player just walk away from Vanderbilt? You're naive and have your head in the clouds if you do.

Joe Sloan was a Miracle Worker with JD5, but we're still waiting for Don Yeskie to push the Light Switch To The Up Position with Little.

Don't know if it will ever happen.

Little reminds me of a Baseball Brandon Harris; lots of natural physical talent that doesn't translate to the field when the Lights Come On.........

Still at it, huh? He’s not the reason why we lost the weekend. Again, he has been good this far and there is a reason keeps running him back out there. I can’t help that you can’t see what others are seeing.

What? I see value in Little. He has good velocity and very good movement. He is a guy worth working on. It’s possible that Little will gain control as the year goes on and if he does he would be our best reliever. You don’t just throw in the towel on a guy like that because you don’t want the chances of a game three loss to Mississippi State to go from 85% to 90%.

To be clear, the fastball was supposed to be thrown up and in, he missed his spot by about 2 ft. It was still 5 inches off the outside corner and Jordan did a nice job handling it. Had he hit his spot, probably would’ve tied him up given he was on time with a fastball 6” off the outside corner. The other 2 hits were off a fastball that was called right down the middle, and I think he hung a slider or missed middle middle with a cutter with a 1-2 count. Reality is he was three pitches away from an effective outing. A critique of pitch calling here is interesting given the location of said pitches were poor. He was running it up to 96, he has potential. Hurd was horseshite up until postseason last year, as was our entire bullpen, yet they figured it out. Give it time
