I think the not firing her is bigger than hiring her.

If you hate the man it is a different story but he handled all those situations well as far as he could make a decision alone.

Good news is, any time they have gotten quotes in papers from higher ups they have asked the associate AD questions and not Alleva. Likely in an attempt to distance themselves before releasing him.

Alone? He makes all his decisions based on the media’s responses.

Screw that, he is an ego manic. He wants everyone looking at him and his massive nose. Just like the ‘I am the Search Committee nonsense’.

Edit: also what an incredible job he did ruining those boys lives at Duke. He should be proud.

Really can’t understand how he lasted this long. He should have been gone 7 years ago

No. He should have never been hired in the first place after what happened at Duke.

I’ll always remember his absolute smugness towards the fan base. His absolute disconnect with the passion and attitude of all LSU fans

This right here. There us nothing I hate about him more than killing tailgating. It used to be the campus was run by a rowdy bunch of die hard tailgaters....it worked, we loved it and it made us who we were.

Alleva put so many restrictions in place that weve lost our tailgate spot twice, and honestly its come to remind me of attending catholic high school. You are allowed to have a certain amount of fun....within the rule book.

I remember when hiring a shrimp boat captain as the head football coach was at the top of any list of Alleva's failures at LSU. Now it doesn't even make the top 15. Go figure

Does "Les Miles situation" include giving him a giant buyout and raise on the absurd premise that we had to keep Ar-kansas from stealing him away?

Hiring a head football coach, who no other school would even interview for a head position, without conducting a national search.
—-yet look at the results.
A 4 loss season followed by a 3 loss season? Is that supposed to be impressive? Les Miles got fired for doing the exact same thing.

12. The whole Will Wade suspension situation

15. The Florida hurricane game shitshow
Sorry, but nope.

Only to later be announced that he would still be our head coach. He lasted all of 4 games the following season till fired. Good grief.

Don't care what anyone says, i'd love for Les to be our AD. Sucks that he took that crappy Kansas job b/c he's not going to quit that to come back.

His best season would have put miles on the hot seat.

The results haven’t changed, the expectations have

This is the one that started it all and no one remembers it.

Gave Les Miles a golden parachute bc Miles agent flirted a rumor he was going to Ark. Then has to turn around and buy him out of said deal. Got suckered twice by his own work

What does alleva have to do with tailgating and also what exactly is wrong with tailgating?

Maybe those who don't have any knowledge of what happened. He blatantly lied to the media when he accused the players of not cooperating with the police.

Alleva has taken tailgating out of the hands of the fans that built this program and turned into corporate fest. It is all about keeping the game day experience only for those willing to pony up instead of it being about the average man. He has created the culture of money first fans second. I for one have been saying this for years, and nearly every move he makes in regards to game day experience backs this up.

And that is another major problem, he has zero clue what he is doing and takes guidance based off of new paper articles and ESPN talking heads.

You really think he didn’t want to get rid of Miles after the A&M game? He only didn’t due to media backlash. The guy has zero backbone.
