Fournette could come back if he wanted to. Don't feel sorry for him. He will choose riches over coming back, and that's understandable.

Technically LF has done it in 2 1/2 seasons.

Ya, so he can end up playing for Cleveland next season and their stellar O line

The way guice is running he might break some of these records anyway

nope,,,,i think LF is more concerned about making it out of this year without a serious knee injury than anything.
Here we go..

YPC.... Either GUICE or FOURNETTE will own this one so Leonard don't really care. He will make 5 to 10 times more money than Faulk ever did. Leonard is down to earth.... It don't matter to him.

Faulk played in 41 games. LF7 will have played in 34.
Faulk has 909 total plays from scrimmage. LF7 will likely have just over 800 plays.
Faulk averaged 5.7 yards every time he touched it, not including kickoffs and punts. LF7 averages 6.7 yards.
People forget Faulk did a lot of sharing with Mealey, and one year with Collins, and Herb ate up close to 800 rushing attempts during Faulk's career.
Faulk finished his career with the 4th most all purpose yards of all time in the NCAA, and 1st in the SEC.
He's still number 3 in TD's.
He's still number 3 in rushing yards.
No problem at all with LF7 not breaking Faulk's record. Faulk deserves it.

I only feel sorry for him because I think he easily could have broken the record this year if he was healthy.
I always feel bad for injured players (besides Chad Kelly frick him)

Faulk was better anyway so I'm glad he will keep that record.

Well he he is more then welcome to come back next year and get it...........

Kevin Faulk deserves to hold those records as much as LF does. Let's not forget Faulk was a 4 year starter. LF has basically played 2.5 seasons here.

Fournette is one of my favorite players to ever play at LSU and he fully lived up to the hype. However, Kevin Faulk came to LSU following six losing seasons when he could have gone anywhere. He returned punts, didn't pout when the fans got infatuated with Diesel, and was probably the biggest reason that the Magic returned.
Faulk also had a long career with the Patriots and is on their all-time team. He was versatile, durable, and explosive. There should be room in the record books for both of these all-time great Tigers, and there will be.

Couldn't have said it better. This is why he should have his number retired and hanging up in Tiger Stadium, on top of the many records he still holds.

Record holders should be appreciated more around here for their longevity. The quick and easy generation will never get it.
