I prefer the purples. White jerseys isn't some ancient tradition at LSU.

When we ran out on the field against Auburn in 1995 with white jerseys on I got chills up my spine and tears of joy in my eyes. Purple jerseys represent the dark days of LSU football minus 84-87(even the 88 team had some horrible performances). I pray that we keep doing what we've been doing. I'd prefer Purple just once per year.

Why stop there? why not petition Nike to give us some Gold chromed out helmets with holograms of Toonces on it and purple unis with slashes of gold and white in Tiger stripes?

I'm all for the white jerseys but I think ultimately it should come down to what the players want to wear.

Bet you thought 9-6 Bama game was boring too, then. Get a clue. That 88 AU game only sucked for folk that don't know what football is.
PS, It's not like the thread is a runaway 80% white to 20% purple. It's only about 60/40.
