What about Cody Glenn?

Does he have a chance to start for the midweek games?

LSU really needs to groom someone for next year's weekend job when Gausman leaves.

Not to mention Joey should be back to health. Hopefully he can add a punch to the staff.

LSU is really deep with pitching. They just need to lock down that closers role.

We couldn't hit last year (even with mikie in the lineup) - PM decides a change is needed - he gets a new pitching coach.

None taken, I was just wondering if he would be an addition to the staff. A team can never have too many good arms.

Yep, we need to enjoy watching Gausman this year. I saw him pitch the first few innings of the Purple and Gold World Series game and his stuff was nasty! Gonna be fun.

The popular opinion was that we couldn't hit, but we finished third in the SEC in batting avg.

Appreciate the info any time of the year. Thanks

This...a lot of love Tiger baseball, it's never a wrong time to look ahead. Not to mention, there are only so many threads you can read without going insane about the JJ/JL issue...

Jones is a Gap hitter; so who is going to supply the power, HRs, this year?

This team may only knock 40-50 HR's next year but the hitting should be much improved.

Adam4848, What are your thoughts about January competition on the infield. Your perspective is appreciated.

Roughly 3 months to go. I could talk baseball year round. Hopefully with the pitching we have, we can win without 100 HR's.

Oh, and the new suites will never be ready in time.

I think their's legitimately 5-7 guys playing for the 4 spots. You've got Moore, Dozar, Powell, Yocom, Hanover, Nola, Barrios all fighting for playing time.

I think Moore wins out the starting job at 1B, kid has a powerful swing from the left-hand side of the plate...something this team desperately needs.

2B should be Yocom if he continues to hit or I could see Hanover possibly moving back if the infield gets an overhaul as it did before last year.

SS is Nola.

3B will most likely be Hanover if Yocom starts at 2nd. Hanover's an experienced leader with one of the strongest arms on the team. Barrios and even Powell will contend for this spot.

C will be Tyler Ross.

Good news is all of these guys can play multiple positions on the infield in a dime. The spring competition certainly is going to be fun to watch.

looks like Aaron Nola's gonna fill the hybrid RP roll (ala Bradford/Coleman).

Cody Glenn has also looked good. PM wants him as a midweek starter.
Rumbelow developed a change/curve over the summer & should close.

Berry/Cotton situational RPs (love Berry in that 8th inning role)

w/ our 3 returning weekend starters,& finally having an actual pitching coach, this will be our best staff in years.

Alan Dunn is speaking @ the committee meeting tonight... Look forward to hearing him talk.

4th in runs scored, only 8 runs ahead of 5th, which is the point of an offense. Still, it was a good offense, though nothing special. Unfortunately, a lot of that was due to Mahtook having a monster year ad being dragged down by about half of an unproductive lineup. We need to find guys in the 6-9 slots who can at least get on base to keep rallies alive.

No, you're right. Didnt mean every year. Just the recent (3 years)

you mean last 2 years, and last year where we had finally lost our entire pitching rotation and most of the starting lineup from the cws champion team. hard to rebuild and make it to omaha when you lose that many guys all at once. our pitching rotation should be VERY good this year
