That's also very true. I think the least harmful outcome to our recruiting would be for Virginia to win it all. Texas Tech is close by, Auburn is a conference rival, and Michigan State is always someone we have to recruit against. Virginia doesn't seem to be an attractive place for blue chip prospects, despite their recent success. They just play team ball better than most.

No. It absolutely helps nothing. The seeds are already out. This IS the tournament. If Auburn stinks it up next year, beating them won't help with seeding. You have to do well in the regular season, and there is no carry over.
Once the tournament starts, it means nothing how well your conference does.

The only reason to pull for Auburn is to have one of the dirtiest coaches in college basketball be the face of the sport and the NCAA.

Are you nuts? I don't give 2 sh*ts about supporting SEC teams and conference pride and all that crap. No self-respecting LSU fan should. Why should anyone actively cheer for another school's success that would perhaps give them advantages over us moving forward?
They can all die in a fire. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Georgia and every other fricking SEC team I don't care to spell out.

The only basketball team I would pull for in the SEC, other than LSU, is Vandy and that is because I legitimately feel bad for them.

Meh, I pulled for them yesterday because they played Kentucky and Slimey Cal. And I pulled for them against Professor Roy Williams and the Heels. But that's about all I can stomach.
