Without looking too hard - right off the bat he's behind 3 of them and virtually tied or behind 2 others. That's middle of the pack on that list

He's won the SEC Championship twice, made it to two national title games, won one.

He has been very good for this university and football team. Our talent level is high, our facilities are solid, we get a vast majority of in-state talent every year, etc.

He's just run his course. Time for a change. I thank him for the memories though.

Let's set the record straight on something. We are 0-1, with a stubborn coach, and an archaic offense. We are going to get Leonard hurt by running him behind an injured/horrible line. We will have a boat load of draft picks from this team, with shite to show but a program or ticket stud from some bullshite bowl.

What about championships and winning percentage?

We haven't had a coach win like Les has. He WAS a good coach but it's been over a decade. We don't have to act like he was never a good coach to acknowledge we need to move forward.

THANK YOU

How many wins and 9 and 10 win seasons would Cholly Mac have had he been given 2 extra rent-a-win games over his tenure. Plus a SECCG.

Yet they want to get paid as if the won 10 games in a 10 game season. I'm getting old. I cut my teeth on 10 game seasons. And it was just as much fun, then.

He ran his course in 2008. 2009 and 2010 were torture to watch winning on luck and defense alone. 2011 was a flash in the pan created by a perfect whirlwind of talent (Which I do credit Miles for recruiting wise)...but he SINGLEHANDEDLY coached us out of that season bringing Jefferson back and being stubborn. We were STRUGGLING offensively WELL before 1/9

I totally agree.

And let's state a few more facts. We all want to get back to the point in which we play for the SEC title and hopefully the National title. Which means we have to get where Alabama is now. If you want to be the best them hire the best. The Dean and the AD need to get that chip off their shoulders, give Saban what he wants in order to get him back.

The man left for millions of dollars. We can pay him what Alabama does, we could get him back and be on top again!!!

My point is, one reason Miles has so many records is because LSU was stupid enough to keep him longer than he should have been here so he could collect his 9-10 win pointless seasons.

I get that everyone is tired of Miles and thinks LSU needs a change, but the idea that any mediocre coach could have done what Miles has done is nauseating. You can shite on him for his offensive philosophy and the overall trend of the program the last 4 years, but saying he has these accolades because LSU was "stupid enough to keep him longer than he should have been here" is asinine. He hasn't accrued a 10-win season since 2013, and at no point prior to that could you have realistically fired him without immense backlash.

good for les but he was an avg coach when he was hired.. he came to an established LSU program that continued to get elite talent. he did a great job early on with the talent.. but he has completely changed since 2008. 2011 was great, but he's lost his intensity since that sole defeat. and he can't seem to beat bama. and worse is he's getting blown out by the rest of the west.

did LSU always recruit consistently top 3-5? no

what's to say any competent coach wouldnt have had similar, if not better success at LSU given all this talent now that they have been established. definitely time to change now as he has gone stale.. sort of like bowden at fsu going stale.. he was only winning like 7 games.. he finally leaves and fisher immediately comes in and starts winning like 11 and 13 games a season.

Please prove that negative proposition. Oh that's right. You can't. It's just your opinion. Lee was the number 1 rated passer in the SEC at the time he was benched. Not number 2,3,4,5,... NUMBER 1.

Les crapped himself coaching toward the end of that season. Period.

Jefferson coming in on 11/5 in Tuscaloosa is what won us the game. Lee was shitting the bed. That and a 75 yard Brad Wing punt.

We won that game because Bama missed 17 field goals. Not because of Jefferson. But while I'm on that - which QB was known to play better under pressure in the 4th quarter to bail out LSU?

It was Lee. I was ALWAYS Lee that saved Les' arse. Miles' should have trusted him. All it would have taken in that game was ONE solid drive to beat Bama.

So please cite Les' career accomplishments, but just know that is more of an indictment on LSU than a compliment to Les Miles. It just means we settled on being a middle of the road SEC program for far too long.

There is only one team in the SEC West with more conference wins than LSU since 2012, and LSU is 3 conference wins clear of the 3rd place team.

I'm all for a change, but the only reason you can even make the argument LSU has been mediocre of late is because of the bar that Miles was pivotal in setting for years.
