Dude we suck on offense. Do you think differently?
Are you are sensitive to those words about our offense?
What words are you safe using about our offense to make you feel better?

Nuss has a career 59% completion in SEC play. 15 TDs and 10 Ints.
Last year, in SEC play he had a 61% completion with 13 TDs and 8 Ints.
Stop blaming his "injury" for the reason hes mediocre. He was just as mediocre last year.
That's what guys like you dont understand. His injury doesn't cause him to throw into triple coverage. His injury isn't why hes throwing the ball of his backfoot. His injury isnt why he makes awful decisions like his first INT of the year.
Nuss is a questionable decision making QB with big arm talent but no touch.

100% correct. I hoped he would improve this season like everyone else expected him to, but he’s is still the same player as last. No consistency mentally or fundamentally.

poor offenses in today's game generally are the least imaginative and most vanilla. that is a fact, and that is what LSU has shown us thus far this season. We don't have the horses to dominate the LOS and exert our will on any defense. We have to confuse them sometime, and LSU never even attempts to.

Have you watched a game this year?

We are barely winning in games that should be blowouts. What’s our rushing ypg? How many FG’s have we had?

Strong running game is a cure for an ailing quarterback. Multiple personnel sets work fine as long as they are not predictable.
That said, if there’s more of the single-minded predictable game management, then LSU is screwed.

Will the play calling be less vanilla?
Our play calling is more like tap water. I wish it had any flavor.

That’s definitely true, but we couldn’t block 3 and 4 man fronts against Ole Miss, lol.

I think you’re proving his point with this statement. When fans see a productive offense they assume it’s “creative.” Aside from the fact that LSU had been in the Stone Age prior, there was nothing super creative about our 2019 offense.

Are you under the impression that this is what we’ve been trying to do? Because that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Why do you think we run so many screens and perimeter runs?

So you’re saying the problem with our offense is we don’t run enough trick plays?
Our offense can probably be described as “vanilla” to the extent that our running game between the tackles is pretty basic, but you aren’t gonna be a power spread team with a QB who doesn’t run the ball.

I think there have been deep shots there, Nuss just hasn't hit them. If he hit like 3 of the however many that he's missed this season, we'd be 5-0 and no one would be saying much about Sloan.
BK said Nuss is 1-7 on deep shots. Also said that wasn’t nearly enough attempts and he has to hit them when called.

That would help, better decisions will too.

What would that look like? I’m curious why you think the play calling is vanilla. My theory is that when passes are incomplete, or runs go nowhere, fans think the play calling is vanilla. I think the play calling has been varied and complex.

He’s got a serious injury. There’s a good reason he’s played substantially worse this year. And no, I don’t think a week of rest just makes it all better.
I do. Not necessarily this particular case, but 22 year old men heal friggin fast. I get a paper cut and it’s bothering me a week later. Nuss gets a paper cut in the morning and it’s gone before he goes to bed.
