In short, to be a perennial Sweet 16/Elite 8 team, we need to improve the facilities. There's no question about it. To keep up recruiting efforts with other powers and maintain top 15 classes, year in and year out, we have to get it done.

We have an elite coach. It's time to get elite basketball facilities.

Remember, the all-in-one football operations center first opened in 2005. It had a huge impact on our continued success in football. It's time for an all-in-one basketball operations center.

LSU does not have an elite coach. It does have a good coach.

I'm not saying that Will Wade is an elite coach, but you should probably stay away from making value judgments on coaches ever again.

Will Wade said sure we can do some things to improve the PMAC. But he was talking more about improvements at the practice facility that were more important, like coaches offices, weight room etc to keep everyone at the same facility.

Coach K would be at the top, Coach Jones and Wade about the same area.

No and that arena is on the edge of the ghetto. I live 15 miles from there and never go to that area of downtown Richmond.

In a perfect world, I would build track and field a new set up for indoor/outdoor across from the box and tennis facilities. I would then build a brand new PMAC to go along with the architectural theme across campus on corner of Nicholson/N Stadium. You can then add more building to the current basketball ops. The new arena could be built in such a way to hold large concerts to add revenue streams and a garage built between that and the natatorium. In the location of the now demolished PMAC, you could build a championship village with an auxiliary nutrition center that serves all student athletes that don’t have complexes across Nicholson.

LSU’s practice facility is less than 10 years old and doesn’t look far behind those others you posted.

The arena is what it is. We either make a huge commitment to rebuild it or we don’t. I don’t think minor upgrades every 3 years will ever get it to where it needs to be.

Have ya'll ever seen VCU's football facilities? No and neither has anyone else, because they dont exist. Ever seen their baseball facilities? They play at the Richmond Flying Squirrels dump of a AA stadium.

You seem to be missing Wade's point. Its more of what it not included in the practice facility, weight room, offices, etc.

Remember when the football coaches offices were still in the athletic admin building, yeah, it's been awhile. They wanted the offices, practice facility, weight room, etc in one location.

Whoever was in charge of the practice facility design went cheap, period.
