Compare Death Valley to other SEC stadiums. What is our secret, why is it so loud and intimidating for opponents.

Its a very simple answer, shall I give up our secret??? Sure why not, other stadiums won't do anything about it.

Look at seating compared to other stadiums. We are about 10-15 yards closer, maybe not exactly, because there is no Track, no bushes, nothing between a blood thirsty Tiger Crowd and the sidelines.

Making changes else where will only make it cooler for LSU fans because it will help block out the sun even on day games. Alabama's stadium is huge, but the fans are literally 25 yards from the sidelines, maybe not that far, but you get the point.

Geaux Death Valley and the Operations Facility getting expanded and the new Nutrition Facility breaking ground.

I think its great. As long as we don't completely sell out and push our seating back, I think what we got now is great.

Back off (a lot) with the piped in music/commercials and let the band play the songs that get the fans/team excited (Neck, All of the Lights, etc).

100% agree, but make sure it's in the first half because I'll be home by 3rd Q kickoff...

So do most people behind Bars in Jail .. So what's your point ? I enjoyed Rap back when it was fun and it had a good message..... But Now it's lame and violent.

As for the players , If they're so busy worried about getting there groove on , we don't have the right players on the field or team... There is a time and place For everything and that's the time to play FOOTBALL !! Get a iPod and play it all you want on your own time ...

Tiger stadium games once played out to a rhythm supported by consistent field play and bands keeping the beat of the game. The fans kept pace and paid attention.

Today's game is an ADHD fest. Loud irrelevant noises and bright sights are thrown in without regard. Advertisements, videos, and BS on the field introductions, coupled with piped in music completely overwhelm the band and game experience.

TV timeouts kill the game momentum. Much of the stuff we hate came as a response to the TV breaks and the momentum killing boredom resulting from sitting around for three minutes. This is where the "players like music" idea has some basis. The band didn't have a routine to make through every stupid timeout CBS would call.

Truthfully, the entire experience is less and less about the game with each passing year. It's more about hyping people up and getting sponsors air time. No wonder fans leave.

Too many old alumni that leave at halftime. Need more young die hard fans that will scream till their hoarse! I've Never left a game wout losing my voice and have never left with more than 5min left regardless of score! I don't get to make but 1-2 a year or so though.

I agree that it's not a revered tradition. But having been on the field for games, when neck is played there is def a bigger buzz in the stadium. Neck isn't played for it's great musical quality. If that's what you want it for then go to a concert and not an LSU football game. It's loved because it starts in the student section. The student section gets excited! Then it spreads through the entire stadium and you can tell the stadium that is already alive and buzzing kicks into another level. The players feed off of it tremendously! They need to bring back neck.

I haven't been to a game yet but coming to see my first this year. To find out that "neck" is gone is a bit upsetting, that's one of many things I was hoping to witness. That and a "frick you saban" chant of course.

Don't worry. You can catch it when the dozens of other team bands play it.

I'm not embarrassed because what happens in the confines or a highly charged college football stadium isn't really that reflective of how people actually feel. It's just a game. And by the way I've been to Kyle field and it is by far the most overrated atmosphere I've seen. And I've got pictures of you shits sitting. 12th Man my arse.

Piped in music sucks donkey balls. TGBFTL is better at pumping the crowd than any of the piped shite. I'm a fan of rap music, but not in Tiger Stadium.

STTDB is just stupid as well. Neck, played by the band, getting the crowd to motion all together is awesome. All the great songs do their job from the band. Piped music is for the Superdome and between innings at the baseball games..
