Really? If he didn't play during that dumpster fire we saw this year, what makes you so sure of this. AJ is the new JJ, the anointed one.

Playoffs, lol

We'll either have the worst qb in the SEC as our starter or an inexperienced qb as our starter

Either scenario equals not a chance in hell finishing in the top 4

Maybe if they expand to 8 or 16 teams we'd have a chance. The same scenario we'll be facing basically every year

Ummmm no.

LSU will lose most of their OL including the all important Left Tackle and possibly 4 of 5 starters and their top 2 reserves.

The DEs are likely both gone and their replacements are a huge question mark.

Likely lose Kwon Alexander, Collins, along with Martin and probably Robinson (kicked off team).

Just those mean our newly stout defense will take significant hits AGAIN.'

On offense outside of the OL, you lose two of the top 3 RBs and while we have some solid recruits coming in, you can't expect them to be great out of the gate.

The QB position is still garbage and I don't see it improving given both Miles' history and Cam's (his QB's take time to develop almost always).

That said, Bama will still be equal to this year.
Auburn will be improved on defense as will A&M as neither can be worse, and A&Ms new QB will have experience.
Arkansas keeps improving.
Florida won't be a shite show.

All of that and you expect this team to magically improve beyond all but maybe one of those?

LSU's OOC is embarassing next season, and will be something that holds them back at best.

So, while they have a "chance" if everything falls into place, LSU doesn't have a good chance next year. At best your looking at 2016 according to Les as the best chance, and we'll have some attrition then as well,

I don't think that Miles will give Harris a legitimate chance at taking the starting job from Jennings. He'll start Jennings next season because he has the most real game time experience, and we'll see more of the same offensive ineptitude.

It would help to take the schedule into account.

McNeese
at Mississippi State
Auburn
at Syracuse
Eastern Michigan
at South Carolina
Florida
Western Kentucky
bye
at Alabama
Arkansas
at Ole Miss
Texas A&M

The out of conference games should pose no problems. We should have as many, or more, starters returning as our SEC opponents. And several of them will have new QBs. Even with Jennings at QB LSU will likely be favored in all games except Alabama.

I'll tell you this is an off-season thread.

It is off-season. Nobody cares about playing in the Taxslayer Bowl.

Brumfield's dad is on here. Wild tiger I think. If we get decent qb play them yes we can contend.

Agree with what you posted. That being said it all comes down to the QB at the end of the day.

You're dreaming.

Auburn, at So. Carolina, Florida, at Bama, Arky, at Ole Miss, A&M.

We could be underdogs in any (or all) of those, especially with our talent losses and no improvement at QB.

WTF is all this shite?

Can't you see we're trying to be miserable in here? Optimism is for losers.

Harris has a year under his belt? From the headset maybe but really no experience. He had some mop up duties and a couple of series at AU

especially with our talent losses
LSU will be losing a fraction of the talent it has lost the last two years. LSU will lose Hilliard, McGee and Neighbors from the backfield, but with Fornette, Williams and Jones returning plus freshmen additions I doubt there will be a decline. Collins and Porter graduate off the OL, and Alexander and Hawkins are draft eligible, but there are no indications that either is planning to declare for early entry. Defensively, the only seniors who play regularly are Rasco, Martin and Welter. Martin and Welter already lost their starting jobs to younger players. Hunter, Lamar, Alexander, Collins and Mills could declare for early entry, but none of them are slam dunk draft picks. And only Alexander is much better than his likely replacement at this point.

LSU's losses will be less severe than Auburn, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas (defense loses 5 starters), Ole Miss or Texas A&M. Auburn, South Carolina, Alabama and Ole Miss will all have to find new starting QBs. Our talent losses should be less of a problem than for most of our competition.
