Was Lee even eligible? I don't know if we ever got a clear cut answer on this.

A lot of rumors about that. Never heard anything definitive myself.

Right so you've been at EVERY PRACTICE and without a doubt know that Cam Cameron failed to work with him AND HE DIDNT TRY TO IMPROVE? Throwing touch passes is like anything else - repetition. He didn't make the connection early enough in the read or just couldn't get the feel right. It's ok because we aren't good at everything and Harris will never be anything more than what he is willing to work as is re case for all of us. Can you really be serious? You are no doubt a liberal bitch and want to put blame on everyone and never on the individual. LSU invested a shite load of money getting this kid the best off season coaching as well.
What I do blame on the coaches is holding on to him in the same system and not running more read option.
Go back to your Hiliary Home and suck your thumb cry baby.

Why people are still so butthurt he took over the QB is amazing

Because he's a white boy and there are a lot of SJW's on this board. I was thankful we got through the season. After the loss to Wisconsin, I really had no idea of what was coming, but feared the worst unless Miles was fired. That finally happened.

Another major mistake was putting Leonard back on the field playing injured with an injury that takes significant time to heal. Putting him out there already with a high ankle sprain was just asking for trouble, held the team back, and flirted with disaster for him if he had gotten a more serious injury due to not playing at full speed. I know he wanted to help the team, but playing Guice and backups more, and letting Leonard heal would have been the route to go for both the team and Leonard. Fine young man and I hope he is successful as all hell when playing Sundays this next season. He is truly an unselfish athlete and person.

Yes. Harris had zero confidence to start that Jacksonville St. game. He had been killed the entire week after Wisconsin, and it showed

This. The kid was destroyed at that point.

I could post a whole long thing about the Florida game from the previous season as a counterpoint on Harris.

Harris was outside of the pocket on the move with 10 yards of open field and we were in FG range yet he fricking throws. He deserved what he got. Bad decision maker is the best way to sum him up.
3 years of watching him make bad decisions was enough.

Will be funny to watch Harris run out onto the field as the starter next year.

The hate is hilarious because neither QB did nearly enough the past 2 years to get LSU close to a ship. Our offense was way too predictable with Miles and Cam. Not many QB's can find a rhythm the offense Miles and had become know for especially when everyone knew what we would do and we would only send out 1 WR on 3rd and 10. Stupid.

Say what you want, but you can't say we ran the same offense for Etling under Miles initially. We came out with 3 WR's for the first time ever no matter who the QB was. They felt the pressure from the fans and changed the playcalling because of it before reverting back to Iowa football.Stats are very similar and poor for both QB's. Neither should be considered incumbent or frontrunner right now.

Who is recruiting them
Recruiting? Really? The guy was the #2 dual threat QB in the country. Should Miles not have recruited him?

did you just say Etling has a good deep ball???
Could care less about Etling's "Deep Ball."

It's such a seldom used and low % play, the ability to throw long has little to no bearing on Wins or Championships. It's just Lagniappe.

Once in a Blue Moon, if the Stars and Planets align, it might produce a last second win.

With a little "Up Coaching" from Canada, Etling has most of the intangibles wou want in a QB.

No point in trying to discuss it with those that don't quite understand. Yeah, we get it. Etling doesn't have enough "SwaG" and will never satisfy many in the Rant Peanut Gallery.............

I do think B Harris has a higher ceiling, but Les and Cam ruined the kid IMO. There has to be reason that Urban Meyer heavily recruited Harris but he chose LSU. Harris would have been developed for the college game by Meyer.

The only thing I got out of that is Lindsey Scott is really short.

According to Herb Tyler, Lindsey Scott is the best quarterback on the team. We'll see.

Will never start for LSU as a QB.

If he doesn't start in 2017, he'll start starting in 2018. According to Tyler, Lindsey Scott is by far the be best quarterback on the team. Not to mention that the coaches also went out of their way to mention that he is going to be a very good player for us.

What people on here refuse to see is that had Les not been fired, we still blow out Missouri and Southern Miss in devastating fashion. The only difference in how the season plays out is that we beat Florida and play in the Sugar Bowl instead of the Citrus.

I'm all for replacing the coach if doing so for the sake of improvement. But changing just to change and actually possibly (probably) downgrading is not smart decision-making.

We saw Lee play against the big boys. He was no better than JJ. Would have probably been worse with lee at qb.

Les owned Florida.

Until this year he owned auburn. 8-3 vs auburn and was 6-1 in the last 7 games against UF.

And had Guice in the stable? This pisses me the F off.
With the rope a dope offense, Miles bets the farm and rides an injured once in a decade player.

Selfish retard.

I don't care what Les does against Florida. He would not have had the guys ready for Ark or Ole Miss and we would have lost one of those games. Hell the Florida game looked like a typical CLM game...we dominated, made mistakes, allowed them to stay close, andended in mass confusion. I'm laughing at the fact you think Miles would've gotten the effort and performance that O got the last 7 games.

While Jennings and Jefferson had in accuracy issues, I have never seen someone as inaccurate as Harris. Harris was at best a project as a QB, but never developed. Les deserves some blame for having no other option, but Harris also came into LSU acting like a star.
