Of course he thought LF was a beast. He saw him running against our D-Line.

If Fournette never touches (or never has control) of that bad pitch play, does he still get credit for the run?

What are his stats without that play?

I know I'll probably get blasted, but, if I recall correctly, LF got the ball every time (or at least most every time) he was in the game. I may not know much, but it seems fair to conclude that whenever LF came into the game after the first couple of times that the defense could just assume with a very high degree of accuracy that No.7 is about to get the ball..."Let's go get him". Just saying, it seems he was setup to be less than spectacular. I'm not saying it was on purpose, but that's what it seems the evidence of the game points to.

His average would've been over 4.

LF had a solid game. He missed a toss, there was a poorly executed pitch play, and LF could've scored a TD had he bounced outside near the goalline. Other than that, I thought he played well. I don't see how it was much of a humbling experience for him at all.

I don't ever recall Les Miles saying all of those superlatives and comparisons would come to fruition in his first game as a true freshman.

don't forget Jenning's off target screen pass that would have been at least a LF first down

Les fired up Hilliard. LF is still going to be a beast. He just has to acclimate to cfb speed and size. When he does, say in 2or 3 weeks, he will start to impress.
My what a bunch of old ladies we have on here. (No offense meant to old ladies)

IF Jennings gets those 2 screen passes to him and he catches them in motion, this conversation would be VERY VERY different. I truly think one of them was possibly gonna be taken to the house, if not both. They were set up pretty well and it seemed as thought we had caught them in the exact defense we were expecting.

My only issue with LEs is that he wouldn't leave him in for multiple plays....I mean the guy ryuns out for one play every once in a while, it seems logical for the D to focus on him

the playcalls for LF were telegraphed as to tell the defense "hey #7 is going to get the ball"

A nice play-action with LF7 on the field, and it's an automatic 6...

The way LF handled the pass and the pitchout, he would make a great goalie for a soccer team!

He knows how to knock them down!

BugaNation is crashing and burning, not shocking and aweing!
