I would like to have Russell Shepard on next years team just for the great ambassador for LSU that he is.

Is this going to stream live online?
If so, can someone hook me up with a link please?
Thanks

miles is going to spread the blame around. Not executing, poor blocking...qb didn't have time to execute play. Lost as a team. As far as putting JL in, he's already said why, he'll say it again, take the blame and move on. Understands all fans are hurt, so are him and players.........end of story and CLM lovefest opens anew during the spring game. End of interview.

brokers was the second best defensive player this year behind mc (if you only consider tm7 contributions as a cover corner). I didn't see bama running through the middle of the defense with the best rb in college football. they knew better. he also blocked a punt. chavis alreadt said he wouldn't trade brokers/logan for hainesworth/??? from tenn. days.
no worries, freak will ULTIMATELY be even better.
by the way for all you star gazers, this is why lc leaving is not as bad as board thinks. LSU could have 2 first round picks this year and neither was rated as high the following members of their recruiting class, randle, shepard, loston, davenport, ford, faulk, downs, mingo according to rivals.

Does Bobby have media credentials at this press conference?

At this late time, are we expecting Les to have a intelligent discussion with the fan base and not lie to us. Give me a break. He has been deceving us and not telling us the truth for the last 3 days (or longer). Now all of a suddent we are suppose to be excited because Les wants to have a news conference. The only thing I want to hear from him is that I screwed up and I have learned by lesson and I will try harder in the future and I will be honest with the LSU fans.

Just watched part of an Alabama press conference where Richardson and Kirkpatrick announced their departure to the NFL.
It's a shame that LSU's players may have to announce their decisions in a press conference haunted by so many unanswered questions and incomplete explanations.

I guess that proves that some players/recruits actually read that crap that's posted on here...
RS had 21 touches this year. I know he missed 3 games and I know he had some drops, but you'd think we'd figure out a way to help a guy as talented as him succeed.

Can we blame Les for only getting 2 years out of Brockers too?
Posted on 1/12/12 at 2:39 pm to LSUzealot
??? I'm assuming Brockers was well coached and it helped his production on the field. Now comes the monetary reward for all of his hard work. But if he was rarely on the field, his production would be limited, no matter how talented he is.
Maybe RS was never really worth his five stars and couldn't compete in the SEC, but I don't believe that. I think he was under utilized by LSU, and because of questionable personnel decisions in the past, had little confidence that he would have more and better opportunities in 2012.

he's just not the type of player that has really done much here under miles. those 6-0, 190 speed guys typically either play CB or sit. the WRs we've had that did well were big, physical guys (bowe, lafell, toliver, randle). early wasn't a premier WR at LSU either. buster was the closest thing.
shep was more of a RB, and he just wasn't going to get to play RB much at LSU with our style of running and miles' preferences.

There are many players that don't always live up to their hype. Maybe he is just one of them. But I know it is always easier to bash the coach when a player who was highly rated doesn't find his way and doesn't amount to much.

what channel will this be airing in baton rouge?
Posted on 1/12/12 at 2:50 pm to BeeFense5
RS may not have lived up to the hype, but what he's good at just isn't used in this offense under miles
when his speed and open field running was used, he did well. LSU with miles just doesn't really use guys like that in those roles

What exactly was he supposed to do with those 14 catches/ 21 touches to live up to his hype?
Who's to say that he wouldn't have had sproles type production if we had a qb or a game plan worth a damn?
