Nice try...but I'm from Shreveport....far from being a coonass.
Secondly, I caught him outside EastRidge CC...before I even had my first drink. He was standing outside pumping hands and schmoozing.
I saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. The fact that he didnt have the decency to even attempt to answer my questions tells me all I need to know about CLM.

To be fair.. His first game was a edge-of-your-seat win over a team that shouldn't have been too close.
His last game was a edge-of-your-seat loss over a team that shouldn't have been too close.
I'll go out on a limb and say we would've beat Auburn (and Wisconsin) if Jamarcus Russell was playing QB.

He will never coach again. He gets paid more $ not to coach than to coach. Economics are easy here.

I would think that means more people dislike these coaches tan what you and rick think. Just because you two want to paint miles in a positive light...which is certainly your right...doesn't mean the majority of fans have to feel the same way.

You're right Red, everyone has the right to feel however they want. I personally feel that an 114-34 record after 11 plus years of coaching should be painted in a positive light. However, I've also stated several times that I thought it was time to part ways with Miles at the end of the 2015 season. That doesn't diminish what he accomplished while he was here though.

What I was talking about in my post about getting upvotes for badmouthing coaches was a post from a few days ago about Mainieri being a lousy baseball coach. People were getting 30, 40 and 50 upvotes for talking shite about a guy that has 8 regional appearances, 6 regional titles, 6 super regional appearances, 4 super regional titles and 1 National Championship not to mention the SEC Conference Championships and the SEC Tournament Championships. Yet to some of these bozos, he's a lousy coach. Same thing with Miles. Some bitched about him from day one. It makes no sense to me.

The ones that whine about these coaches and their accomplishments sound like spoiled rotten entitled babies to me. That's my opinion. But to each there own.

They (Miles & Mainieri) deserve some criticism for some of their moves and mistakes, just not what they are getting from people that claim to be fans and supporters of the respective programs.

I can believe this since he got a chance to see a real offense run with the guys he was coaching.

If he was still a player today, he would be a permanent resident in the NFL concussion protocol observatory.

Yet you are smarter than a major college football coach? Your mom too? Did either of you get a degree from a well respected university?

Just seeing the name Les reminds me of what an old friend told me a few years back. "Les is a retard, but he's our retard." It was enjoyable to watch but he is now going to be someone else's challenge. Always looked forward to the interview while coming off the field going into halftime. No matter what question was asked, Les answered with whatever was on his mind at the time. Never ever answered a question. Classic. All of the quotes will always out weigh the clayhead decisions he made over the years. Enjoy your life and your kids Les and just keep entertaining those of us who will laugh and smile whenever you speak.

Why does anyone on this board care what Les Miles says... right, wrong or indifferent-he is not associated with LSU anymore.....

The man loses his buyout (and millions of dollars) unless he actively searches for a comparable replacement job. What is he supposed to say?

So if this incident happened in in real life other than your imagination, which we all doubt, it proves one thing. You tried to embarrass Les in public but he showed some of his famous class by not biting on your bait.
Class.... some thing that has never been associated with you.
If of course it actually happened.

Real classy to con players into signing with your program, knowing full well their talents would be maximized elsewhere.

I'll buy that. I think the last few years of miles tenure really soured people on him. It kinda of diminished his accomplishments a little....and coupled with his obtuse nature really turned people against him.

Tiger Rant was at WAR during the last couple of years of Miles's time at LSU. PosiTigers were getting NegaTigers banned, there was much name calling. There was plenty of animosity. Both PosiTigers and NegaTigers claimed victory.

The PosiTigers could claim victory only after mental and logical gymnastics worthy of the LSU Gym Team, but, let's put that in the past and move on.

Let's move on from this issue and move on from Coach Miles.

If you think the questions I asked were an attempt to embarrass your boy....first, you obviously dont know the meaning of the word.....and second, standing there like a turnip with a smile on your face is not showing class...it shows you can't even answer basic and reasonable questions.

I wouldn't expect a complete asshat like you to grasp the concept though.

They guy didn't want to talk to a lunatic. I've met Les twice, never asked him about the team. Between getting asked for pictures and autographs, do you really think he is compelled to answer a nut job?

Les never owed any of y'all shite.
