He was a great coach and proved it over several years... He didn't go out on the highest note but he accomplished a lot during his time

LSU made miles...miles didn't make LSU

Before lsu hired Miles he had proven he could turn a shite program into a respectable program.

OSU was a mid tier program though. Bringing them to respectability wasnt that big of a deal....now beating OU...yea thats what gave Miles' name some clout.

Let's just say Miles followed Dinardo...does anyone think LSU has 2 national titles?

Saban's 1st 3 years at lsu(lsu was in far better shape Oklahoma state)= 26-12

Miles 1st 3 years at a program that had 1 winning season in the previous 13 years= 21-16

Just because you two want to paint miles in a positive light

Thats not the point.
If anyone posts FACTS that paint Miles in a positive light, they are told to get over it and he is gone.

Where as if your posts shite on miles and his tenure then nothing is said about getting over miles.

The mentioning of miles is only acceptable of youre shitting on him or his tenure.

The PosiTigers could claim victory only after mental and logical gymnastics worthy of the LSU Gym Team, but, let's put that in the past and move on.

Yeah i really need mental gymnastics when I state facts about miles tenure.
Miles had one of the best tenures in the entire history of the sec. Miles had the most successful tenure in lsu history.
There are no mental gymnastics needed for that. All you need is to accept reality.

Well really rick, no one should even be starting threads about the man any longer. But they do. Why i dont know. I still think the man fked this program out of at least one more NC and his complete failure to admit his wrongs has made him public enemy number 1 in the eyes of a lot of people.

Coach O proved that he had learned from his time at Ole Miss

No he hasnt.

The Interim Job he did as Coach at USC proves that

Posters that say this clearly have a remedial level of football knowledge.

During his interim tenures he didn't run the offense,he didnt run the defense,he didnt choose the scheme, and he didn't choose his coordinators.

So please explain how he has proven anything.

quote:

2nd, this talk he can't get a job cause he is 63 is TOTAL BS, Saban or any coach worth his salt would have a job in a heartbeat

Yeah the best coach in cfb history.
Other than that you're talking out of your arse. AGAIN,PLEASE LIST ALL THESE 63 YEAR OLD COACHES GETTING OFFERS FROM MAJOR PROGRAMS IN THE LAST DECADE

Can you name another football program that shits on its most successful coach ever? Not only do they shite on miles but they also shite on the last 11 years of lsu football.

What? From 1987- 2001 they had 3 seasons with more than 4 wins.
They had 1 winning season in 13 years.

Ha ha. Saban walked into a much better situation at lsu and barely had a better win loss record in his 1st 3 years.

Before miles was hired at Oklahoma state they were getting recruiting classes in the 80's & 90's and he had multiple top 25 classes.
