“Les is so damn hard-headed,” the coach said. “He was determined to play smash-mouth football against Alabama last year. The best thing you can do against Alabama is dink and dunk, screen and draw, then choose your runs. You don’t play smash mouth against Alabama

quote:

“He says in the spring he wants to spread it out, throw it everywhere, line up in an empty backfield and trips. They lined up empty (backfield) 87 times in 15 days in the spring (of 2015). In the season, they lined up in empty twice. You see a lot of stuff in the spring, but in-season, they won’t do any of it

quote:

“Les is playing in two leagues. He thinks spring football is Arena Football League. And in the fall, he’s playing in the Big Ten. He’s playing in two leagues. One thing the offense ain’t gonna be – it ain’t gonna be different.

quote:

“You put a ceiling on yourself with about nine wins with that offense.”

How did he win Natl Championship then if it has a ceiling of 9 wins? How did they break every record LSU every had offensively a couple years ago with Mett? Just curious.

Okay, how does this person know how the lines up in spring.

And I'm pretty sure I saw more than 2 empty back fields Last season.

Hard to argue with what was said. Do our qb's struggle because of the scheme or does the scheme struggle with our qb's.

If Lsu can be balanced on first down in the first 3 quarters they can run the ball in the 4th to put games away.

Also since that isn't an Alabama coach, I doubt they won any SEC championships with whatever offense they are running either

Maybe because Mett bailed them out on 3rd down.

I'm not really disagreeing with all the criticism, but LSU averages over 10 wins a season under Les

We've had 2 seasons in the last 11 with less than 9 wins

Could have coached under Miles. Never said these were head coaches.

how is that your takeaway from this?

Also there are a few former LSU coaches in the SEC. They would be the only ones to know what we do in Spring

Pretty spot on for what a lot of people have been saying for years now. We'll continue to get shut down in November if he keeps playing BIG 10 ball.
