If he was suspended im shocked miles didnt admit it and use the "violation of team rules" catch all phrase.
Exactly. If this is the case I take it all back.

So if JJ had the stat lines that Lee had against Oregon, WVU, Kentucky, and Alabama you would be praising him as a great QB?
It was enough to keep JJ as the starter for every game for 2 years.

If you remember, I don't think he said much about rules violations in regards to ware simon and mathieu.
yeah he never said they were suspended. what about baker. because they definitely said during the game he was suspended for violating team rules. i dont recall if miles ever admitted to that or not.

Hanagriff did repeat last night that he was positive Lee was serving punishment for class attendance, but Les would never comment as he never commented fully on TM7, Ware, Simon.

well i wouldnt go that far.
I've never heard Hannagriff or Mascona spread rumors. In fact, they usually take the high road when shite comes up.

alright. i respect charles. if he's adamant about it then thats good enough for me. I just dont ever believe a word out of jordys mouth.

Good point. The broadcast definitely kept repeating "team rules" violations when baker was out.
I really do not recall Miles confirming that it was indeed a "team rules" suspension though.

Someone needed to ask Les if JLee was "withheld from play" in the 1st few qtrs against WKU.

dude seriously? What good would that do? Did you watch the game? Of course he was withheld from play...we just want to know WHY!

Listen to the AUDIO! CLM tells you why!
HE'S the head coach, it's HIS decision, and HE and his coaches make the decision based on what THEY feel gives the team the best chance to win.
As to the confirming or denying other disciplinary factors that may or may not have played a role, give it up. HE'S not going to engage in that conversation. Nor should he, IT's a TEAM MATTER.
I realize we'd all LOVE TO KNOW, but we don't get to....deal with it.

Was the guy "with the pictures" who called in last year named Tim?

They have around the same completion % this year, JJ has a higher yards per attempt, and efficiency rating.
That's like comparing apples to oranges.
Their stats are only similar because JJ has thrown significantly fewer passes.

They had comparable stats last year in these categories with Lee throwing fewer passes.
And thats the whole point, neither one of these QBs is head and shoulders above the other. I will never understand why some posters glorify Lee and look for ways to discredit JJ, and vice versa.

If I were Les (I wouldn't be posting on an Internet forum), I'd start JJ just to piss off those who question my Au-thor-i-tay.

I'm tired of Dumbasses saying we wouldn't have won Oregon with JJ as qb. Lee threw for 98 frickin yards

Has Miles ever said much bout punishment he has handed out to players? Not that I can ever recall.
Anyway, for the life of me I don't know what the big freaking deal is with who started at QB vs. WKU or who got more playing time. It was a go through the motions game and a time to check out certain players/rest certain players. imo
I have no problem with giving JJ snaps and no problem with JJ starting, but then I don't see the LSU staff as bad guys or see Miles as a coach who does much of anything without a good reason and with his elite success....I will defer to him without wetting my pants.

I think that there are those fans who feel that Lee has paid his dues, and that his performance on the field during the first 8 games of the season warranted his keeping the starting job, despite struggling against Bama.
Nobody wants to believe that Miles would deliberately shite on one of his players, so we are trying to understand the reasoning behind Miles' decision to bench Lee for 3/4 of the WKU game. If it's true that he was being disciplined for cutting class, then I don't think anyone would disagree with Miles' actions.
Myself, I'm more concerned that the QB switch may disrupt our offensive production. With Lee, opponents must respect both the running and passing games. With Jefferson, the advantage we gain due to his mobility is somewhat negated by his deficiencies in the passing department.
