For the p&g wearing crowd:

Les Miles will be contacted about open NFL jobs after the current season ends. This is a FACT. KC/SD and Miami (which would be the longest of long shots IMO) will all look at him.

This story may be "new" but the idea isn't. When this first came up earlier in the year, CLM stated he would certainly have to listen but he does love where he is now.

None of us know if he would leave. I don't think he would but it is a possible and I can guarantee you HE WILL BE A CANDIDATE FOR ATLEAST THREE NFL JOBS

Well it is dumb reasoning

Did spurrier's failure stop saban? Did saban's stop harbaugh?

No, every coach and their ego thinks THEY can do it, even if others failed

well that was a discussion this morning. Jason Garrett is not safe is the word. If they don't make the playoffs, cowboys could come open, same as San Diego

look, I don't see him going to the NFL. Just don't see it. But it will be brought up and he will be contacted so be ready

It would be a dream come true for me if CLM tell everyone that wanted him gone to go screw themselves get to the NFL win a superbowl there by surpassing saban then come back to coach at Auburn.

That would be funny..Wait, no it wouldn't be

We are being investigated for the Lyles connection. But it is probably Oregon who will get slapped with that before LSU. Seems we complied, Oregon didn't and we never landed any Lyles recruits.
PP7?

As for Miles and the Dallas Cowboys, that one is the only one I think he'd listen to. And the rumor is that Jerry Jones is all hot and bothered over Jeff Fisher. We'll see. For now, pull for the 'Boyz to win out.

it seems Les is the least likely candidate for a college-to-NFL leap...

I thought Miles was a mediocre HC that no one even in college football wanted, much less the pros.

Funny how good/knowning/smart he got in just bout a year, huh.

Comes with the territory of success. It's not a bad thing to be thought of as a steppingstone to the NFL. I hope he stays though. Continuity is of of the keys, if not THE key to a successful program, and new coaches are a crapshoot, even when their credentials are impeccable.

About the author of this piece (of shite):

quote:

Unsuccessful at achieving his childhood dream to become a super hero, Omar Kelly figured he'd do the next best thing and become a journalist who fights against injustice, and searches for truth. After being bored to death reporting news and covering politics, he switched to sports.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised humbly in the heart of Miami-Dade County (Carol City) Kelly spent most of his childhood working in stadiums and arenas selling items and food to Dolphin, Marlins and Heat fans hoping that one day he'd be able to report for them.

While attending college at Florida A&M University pursing a degree in journalism, he lived up to his Jamaican roots, juggling numerous stringer jobs and internships to work his way through school. His journalism career started at the Miami Herald as a high school and college intern before moving onto the Boston Globe (where he interned twice, once in news and once in sports), Detroit Free Press, Palm Beach Post, and South Florida Sun-Sentinel, which eventually brought him home in 1999.

Kelly has since covered the Florida State Seminoles, Florida legislature, Miami Heat and the Miami Hurricanes. Assigned to the Dolphins in 2007, he is still fighting for justice and the truth. Ironically, he has learned they are just as elusive to find in sports as they are in politics.

Also you can follow Omar on twitter at:

I wish someone would ask him what he is referring to.

considering the NCAA is investigating his program and sanctions could be on their way.

Does he know something the media in Louisiana doesn't?

This guy is terrible. What is his normal beat? The living section? Because he don't know jack about sports.

Yeah, just ask Tennessee, Michigan, ND, and others.

I'm gonna ride Miles and his elite success till he can't go anymore.

I can live with a few mess ups when you talkin' 24-2, 13-0, 8-0, SEC title, 3rd BCS bowl, and another shot at a NC.
