Fitting, because it's made out of crap. That's Alabama's greatest natural resource.

LSU is a farm system for dolphins coaches.

I doubt Miles is interested in the NFL and I hope he stays.
But, I have to laugh when I imagine Nick Saban knowing that Miles outdid him at LSU then went to the Dolphins and outdid him there too.

what a moron.
Les is building a dynasty here at LSU. The only place that he might've considered leaving for is Michigan, but thats no longer an option.
The NFL teams might come calling, but I seriously doubt that Miles would leave the college football atmosphere, the mentoring and recruiting which he is great at, and be forced to move his family just so he can go inherit a pro team which is in the gutter, and have to babysit a bunch of overpaid, whiny, egotistical, princesses.
Les will be at LSU till he retires. After winning the BCSNCG he'll be making $5 mil+ per year. He'll probably win the NCG 2 out of the next 3 years and by the time he retires, he'll be thought of as one of the best SEC and NCAA football coaches in history, an LSU legend, and Hall of Fame Material. No way he leaves.

of the recently successful college coaches jumping to NFL, each have had NFL ties:
Jim Harbaugh
Petey Carroll (degree of success debatable)
If I were an NFL exec, I might be lowering my expectations when it comes to the pool of college coaches. Also, Les is a good candidate based upon his resume, but his background (i.e. Bo Schembechler) doesn't indicate an interest in the NFL.

I remember that article saying NFL execs feel les is the best at handling "modern" athletes
Whatever that means, but I think he'll get some calls this offseason

I agree. Now, I preface this by saying that I don't know the man so I could be way off, but Miles seems to me to be the anti-Saban. Saban is all ambition, all ego. Miles, on the other hand, seems content to excel where he is and knows how good he has it. I think that Miles is enough of a traditionalist to desire becoming a Bobby Bowden or Bo Schembechler, a true fixture at a University. For these reasons, I'd be very surprised to see Miles take an NFL job.

LSU's NCAA investigation? LSU tells on itself for the appearance of impropriety, then keeps it transparent through full media disclosure. If there was any "Big Investigation" it would be in the real media, not just speculation by a Miami hack that is only semi-proficient at Googling.
The Les is leaving rumor mill, circa 2011, is late. it usually starts immediately after the last regular season game.
A jet, bearing the Dolphin logo, was not spotted at the airport today.

CBS article
Maybe Les can consult on 21C psychologies after he retires.

And that is what I've heard repeatedly about Miles from team executives. Their belief is that Miles is, as one told me, the next Jimmy Johnson in terms of knowing how to coach the 21st-century player.

only thing that might be in open investigation with the NCAA is the Willie Lyles stuff. LSU has already wrapped up any issues with that DL from 2-3 years ago, and Russell Shepard's minor snafu.
If the NCAA finds that Willie Lyles acted as an LSU "booster" in some capacity, there might be a minor slap on the wrist. And it would not trigger a repeat violation under probation because it would have happened prior to the probationary period starting, I believe.
The reporter is reaching.

honestly, theres a lot that makes sense in that article
i dont think Les will go to the NFL, but none of us know him personally. he is a head football coach, so that means he does have an ego and every man has his price
so who knows
