We are on the same page and it's not like we are saying that the offense doesn't need to be better just trying to point out that it wasn't as bad as people say it is. Going into 2013 people were saying the same things about Mett but when you actually looked at his numbers in 2012 the weren't as bad as the narrative was.

For sure it does. We need better balance. Anyone with minimal football knowledge can see that. Im just saying our 2015 offense was productive and we were an efficient pass attack away from being an elite offense last year. I also dont see anything schematically holding our qb back. Yes playcalling needs to be adjusted at times but there isnt something in our scheme holding us back. There is this false narrative that we always line up in the i formation and most of our pass plays consist of 2 wrs when thats been proven false.

It's not easier when UF and Miami are on top and you have to compete for what is left of the in state recruits after the rest of the top tier teams in the nation poach some of our best athletes. They still have to play Clemson and Miami every year and UF is a tough annual OOC game.
UF is a tough annual rivalry game, but to be honest, Jimbo has owned UF. He is 5-1 against them with mostly blowouts. They beat UF 27-2 last year. Miami hasn't been good for quite some time. Clemson is riding a nice wave at the moment, but traditionally they are just a pretty good team.

I think what happened is that jimbo put him self in Coach miles shoes and backed out not every man is the man Les Miles is !

a change at QB can provide an emotional spark that gets things going........
Why not give Lee a try? He certainly couldn't have done worse.
Do I think Lee would've made a difference - probably not.
With the OL fail, an immobile QB def would've made a difference, just not a positive one.

Laughing at all the love, still, for Jimbo. Short memories here on two fronts. One, he was almost literally run out of town as LSU's OC back when. He was detested by almost everyone. Two, remember all the names he was called when he let J.Winston slide only a few yrs ago? And all the other crap he let slide, too?

Doubt this story is true. If it is OP and lawyer's brother are big time A-holes. Lawyer would immediately be fired and lose law license in all likelihood. At least be disciplined. Don't think the Taylor Porter attorneys who represent LSU in the matters would risk that to appear "in the know".

Without Les we have no Coach O, no Coach Dameyune Craig and no Dave Aranda.
Doesn't mean shite if Miles doesn't let them do their job

So now Miles is meddling with the defense?

So you don't criticize the coaches, you just "hire" them. Got it.
Timm, I know it doesn't always stick when friends and family say this kind of stuff, but you are a goddamn idiot.

He said Les Miles was informed the morning of the game, win or lose he would be fired.
This is how you know the story is complete and utter BS. No one would conduct business in this manner; LSU would have nothing to gain from notifying Miles the morning of a game and everything to lose.

Here is what likely happened.
You have this LSU "fan" who wasn't too much in love with Les Miles at the time and who desperately wants to be in the know. He has some fantasy about how things should have gone down.
Then you have this lawyer who is aware of all of this and decides to have some fun. By leading the OP he discovers what the OP's beliefs are and craftily spins a yarn (lawyers do that) that incorporates all of the OP's suspicions.
I'm thinking that adult beverages were involved at some point.
All in good fun.

Florida has been unusually bad in that rivarly game since Jimbo took over at FSU. Florida hasn't scored more than a single TD in 4 of those 6 games. Jimbo's defenses have dominated the series.

The person who is mainly responsible for blowing up the Jimbo-to-LSU deal last year was whoever leaked the prospective deal two weeks early. When the move became widely rumored, two opposite things happened to lessen the likelihood of the deal actually happening.
1. Republicans like Jindal and some state legislators began pressuring Dr Alexander and the Jindal men on the BOS to keep Les. That pressure worked.
2. Jimbo's agent used that public pressure to up the ante ($$$) for Jimbo in the new contract at LSU. He thought he had LSU over the barrel once it became a widespread rumor.
Those two pressures coming at the same time caused Dr. Alexander and the Jindal men to nix the deal during the week prior to the A&M game.

I use to think we were in a league by ourselves but having lived in other states I can only say that Louisiana is only more dramatic and has more flair than other states with their political happenings
Agreed. Also, having lived in other countries and spent time in many others, it is easy to see that the whole world is corrupt. Power and money are just too enticing to humanity.

I don't see why I'm an a-hole for telling a story that I heard, with a disclaimer saying "not sure if true, but interesting if so". I just found the story to be "plausible".
