So there probably is some truth to O backstabbing Miles then?

I believe it. Les didn't announce this podcast until after Troy & after O's shitshow PC on Monday. It's counter propaganda at it's finest. Just a hunch, but I think Les would have been OK if he had been replaced by a Fisher or Herman type.

That’s it man. I just wished he had modernized his offense. That was my only gripe. Supported him up until the Wisky game.

That was the only bad thing about Les. His offenses just couldn't pass. I really wish he would've just hired a good OC and let him run the offense.

Could it simply be that the reason he didnt modernize his offense is because he couldnt?

Like he never had a QB that could handle that type of offense?

Look at Jennings after he left to play in a modern offense.

Look at Harris this year.

Maybe he wanted to, but couldnt.

When he had a QB with some NFL talent, (Flynn, Russell, Mettenberger), his offenses looked different. I believe that Les knew his QB's limitations and tailored his offense around their strengths and weaknesses

I felt it was time for Les to go but I would have never traded him for Edward

Les Miles has a podcast now called the Les Is More Podcast. Listened to it today and it's pretty good. Talked about his firing and talked about the Troy game. Pretty good show and I enjoyed listening to it. Anyone else listen to it?

You can find gainful employment with him

If I knew we would actually hire O, I would have been in favor of a lifetime contract for Miles.

I love the give and take between Les and Smacker. I like to think that my 21 year old and I have similar exchanges, respectfully disagreeing.

then it was a QB evaluation issue, its one thing to have somewhat of a bad run but to have never picked one worth a damn out of HS is pretty awful

To be fair, it sounded like Les recorded the podcast Monday morning.

When discussing O's postgame comments, Les said he expected "the head coach" to correct himself during "today's" press conference.

You can tell the difference between a coach who can coach vs the one who is a cheer leader. The way Gundy talked about Miles as an OLine coach. He loves the way miles coach Oline and toughness

If we gave him a great staff, he could run this program from the AD’s office. Hell, Skip did it! (I know Skip is a lot more collected than Les) but we could still experiment.

WTF! Les is a bufoon who couldn't even run a football program. Most of his hires sucked but now you want to let him hire coaches for all sports. Thinking like this is why we are in this spot right now.

Skip was a good fundraiser but was not good at hiring. He hired freaking Smoke Laval! He also wasn't committed to keeping Saban happy then got played by Jack Del Rio and settled on LES when he had much better options.

It's week 6. We could have started this podcast week 1, but we didn't. Why?

Because Les is more

What a great intro, and a really awesome listen. Glad I finally had a chance to check it out and will definitely catch them all.

Anyone that doesn't understand that Les' media personality in his pressers and interviews at LSU was just a show is just being willfully obtuse.

His real personality and knowledge base in that relaxed setting really shines through. I imagine that's how he is on recruiting visits and it's clear why he is so successful at getting to these kids and their families.

The segment on the day he was fired was tough

Les and Kathy are such a good match. She is awesome

Smacker is savage

Go watch the old OSU coaching shows he did. Way better than the garbage LSU put out. Anyone saying Les was a shite coach is just a moron. But hey, they got what they wanted.

We really had to do something. We were just right there, without winning championships.

What was the OSU coach before Tressell? We were like that guy who couldn't beat Michigan.
