SEC Offensive Player of the Week
Sam Leavitt, LSU
Position: Quarterback
Class: Redshirt Junior
Hometown: West Linn, Ore.
LSU’s Sam Leavitt, a redshirt junior quarterback from West Linn, Ore., accounted for 432 yards and four touchdowns in LSU’s 38-17 win at Auburn, snapping the Tigers’ eight-game SEC road losing streak. He completed 32 of 45 passes for a career-high 378 yards and three touchdowns and rushed eight times for 54 yards and a score.
Leavitt’s 32 completions were also a career best. After completing 31 passes last week against Mississippi State, he joined Joe Burrow (2019) as the only players in LSU history with back-to-back 30-completion games.
LSU racked up 552 total yards (378 passing, 174 rushing) and scored on five of its six first-half possessions to build a 31-10 halftime lead. The 21-point win was LSU’s largest over Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the 38 points were the most LSU has ever scored at Auburn.

SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week
Jordan Ross, LSU
Position: Defensive End
Class: Junior
Hometown: Birmingham, Ala.
LSU’s Jordan Ross, a junior defensive end from Birmingham, Ala., had four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks to help LSU to a 38-17 win at Auburn, the Tigers’ largest margin of victory in a game at Auburn.
LSU’s defense held Auburn to 270 total yards, including 66 on the ground, and finished with seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss. After Auburn pulled within 17-10 in the second quarter, LSU forced punts on its next four possessions and allowed just 52 yards over that stretch.
LSU also held Auburn’s dual-threat quarterback Byrum Brown to 20 rushing yards and 160 passing yards.

its more incredible when you see he broke a 34 yarder and then another 1 yard TD.
outside of those 2 plays, he ran 18 times for -15 yards against us. (reminder that sack yardage counts against rushing numbers)

The SEC Rant assured me Sam Leavitt is arse.

That's awesome. Especially when you watch that USCe Sellers TD to tie it up. That was an absolutely monster play.
Leavitt has really proved my early doubts completely wrong. I was not on his train, but when he stopped thinking "run first," I've been very impressed.

Ross has been much better than advertised.

Jordan Ross has been playing extremely well the last two weeks. Ever since Prince went out its like a light went off in his head.

When the last time we had two edges like Princewill and Ross? Was it Mingo and Big Sam?

'11 they both had 8 sacks. With Mingo getting 8 and Sam getting 9. So yeah I would say that is the last time we had 2 edges like Ross and Prince.
