Learned that Louisiana has the lowest property taxes on ag land of any state in the USA

Louisiana and Delaware. Seems like that would be a good competitive advantage for Louisiana farmers and ranchers.

The disadvantage would be half of the state is under sea level and the whole state has shitty weather. The tax loss harvesting would be elite though

LA has always been known to have low property tax offset by high sales and income tax.

Replace property tax with a voting tax. If you want to vote in an election you have to pay voting tax.

Personal property shouldn't be taxed. If you're using it to make money, then the product should have a sales tax or there should be a property tax.

Well, we’re talking about property tax. People that own Real Estate. There should not be a property tax on Real Estate owned by private individuals.

How does the land price work comparably?
I know a rancher who moved all his herds to MS due to LA being too expensive to lease.

Louisiana has the richest soil in America. Our topography is perfect for farming. Also, you may not know this, but plants survive on water and sun; of which La is second to none.
With all the lakes, bayous, and rivers, any farm in this state is not far from a water source.
I cannot imagine what kind of human would bash this state’s ability to grow crops. It has to be some sort of phobia or psychosis.
