Clemson’s Dlineman came back for one more season, and he was rewarded. Lawrence provides LSU a similar opportunity.

Now we need a Lawrence at QB.

If we can fix the offensive line, then yes...I agree with you.

Did I miss LSU hired a new OC who can actually score points vs Bama? Or did a bunch of new o-linemen that can actually block show up on campus?

They had a top 5 offense too...

And this DL won a championship 2 years ago.

It isn’t coming down to Lawrence.

I liked what I saw late in the TAMU debacle and in the bowl game.

I mean, this part isn't too far off. We do have a new batch of recruits incoming and we have players returning from injury.

At least build the OL up so that Burrow has time. Lawrence's poise is amazing, and it helps to have poise when you know you're line will hold up for at least 2-3 seconds in pass protection nearly every play.

We really need great OT's.

Take a look at the recruiting board. This seems to be happening.

“ clearly makes LSU a title contender”

You must not have watched any of the playoff games this year if you think LSU is a title contender with the offense we showed last season. College offenses continue to evolve and the LSU O was eighth in the SEC and less productive than what we had in 2015.

Go look at past recruiting rankings, all those guys playing are 4 and 3 stars. I have seen plenty of 5 and 4 star guys who couldn’t bust a grape.

LSU’s returning plenty of experience along the Oline and Dline, offense at times looked explosive against Ga and the Aggies, and when Burrow has time in the pocket as we seen with UCF, he is extremely accurate.

Lawrence is important. I would offer Fulton is the bigger 'must return'. BLUF: IF all eligible returning players return, we are a legit top 5-8 team going into the 2019 season.

RL will be back. His mother won’t allow him to go pro and he wants to put a full, healthy season on tape.

"LSU looked weird vs UCF" A quotation from my baby brother.

"LSU looked sloppy." A quotation from me.

lol no. LSU is lightyears away from clemson and bama... even if every current starter returns. I'll bet my house on that.

Combine Lawrence with Fehoko and Logan/Farrell/ Shelvin and you can have an extremely formidable front. The LB corps looks to be stout irrespective of White's return and in the DB area Delpit and Fulton make it really good...Add Chaisson and you have a potential championship level defense

Be it HS, college, or NFL, offensive linemen need time and experience to develop.

The boys will have another 13 games and year under their belts.

Give time. They will be markedly better next year. So will Joe.

The one position that freshmen can plug and play on offense is RB. We need this to happen.

You know this staff is using Clemson as an example to these juniors this morning. The sky is the limit if we get them back for a senior year.

I agree that we're returning a lot on the OL, but our OT's are still OG's that are playing out of position. Hopefully Charles's and Deculus's feet get quicker, and hopefully Rosenthal and Wire have terrific off seasons. If good things happen, and if we can pass protect, I agree that Burrow will feast. Lawrence would not have feasted the way he did last night without his line holding up for at least 2-3 seconds nearly every pass play.

I agree our DL should be good if Lawrence returns, Shelvin continues his progression, and one of Livingston or Ika are ready to step up for depth at NT. 2020 is when we should next have to worry, and our concern will be the exterior DL positions. Hopefully guys like Cotton, Jenkins and Thomas can come through for us...would be good to have a stud or two waiting in the wings from this trio.
