Travinski was due up in the 8th.

Been your hottest hitter. Jones had been slumping.

You weren’t ahead, your bullpen had been awful.

Was getting Milazzo’s defensive arm in the game THAT important?

You didn’t want to steal a half inning defensively and get Travinski another AB?

What’s worse is the comeback had already started when he did this and you knew you were going to need more runs.

Taking Dugas and Travinski out were head scratchers to me.

You are right sir. I’m addiction, Milazzo has let numerous balls go through his legs late in the game too costing runs and games.

I was thinking about the 9th. Not the 8th.

I’m not a bunter in almost any situation.

I wouldn’t have bunted Nippolt. Would have let Dugas swung.

If it were 1st and 2nd, 0 out snd Morgan up, I’d bunt then knowing they’d pitch to Tanks with the bases loaded.

1st and 2nd, 0 out winning run on is the only time I like the bunt. A lot of people don’t. It’s ok. I think there are differing opinions there.

But I just don’t get putting Milazzo in for Travinski in a tie game the way Travinski has been swinging. And he’s due up 1st.

I agree with the his 100% MWG.

I know I’m harping on this, but Jay made very questionable decisions today considering our team and what we know about them. If it was one or two, yeah that happens, but…

I don’t mind most decisions because they could go either way. Dugas was a very bad call. Pitcher just walked our lead off in 4 with the top of the order now up.

Bunting gives them an auto out. Dugas probably has a better eye than Nippolt and can hit a homer. Very very bad call.

I understand the logic behind bunting, but can’t stand it with this club. Nippolt is the best bunter on the roster, and he can’t bunt worth shite.

Nippolt tried to bunt 2 balls and was extremely lucky to get the 2nd one down.

He should’ve been on base on the 5th pitch. Dugas would’ve been on base and not swung at ball 4

And if we're being honest here, Nippolt barely got that bunt in on a 3-2 count, if the MSU let's it roll foul, that's an out.

In that instance, we tried to play small ball to advance and take out your lead-off batter to do it. GTFO. Nonsense. We don't play that the whole season.

Exactly. I should have said this.

Johnson is a poor in game manager. Of course, people rip me when I said then when this team was winning. He usually sits on his hands, but when the game gets tight, will over manage.

Elite recruiter

Bad in-game manager

Seen it that way for 2 years myself, LE

And he will eventually have to recruit more position-specific guys. I hate his all offense approach. But that’s just me

He really didn't intentionally hit it. The pitch came inside and hit the bat.

First off I like JJ, no one works harder.I do agree he over manages both the in game substitutions and the pitching staff. Taking out Travinski and Dugas was just dumb IMO. I understand he wanted to bunt there but I would never take out number 8 unless it is for a last inning we have the lead defensive sub.
